kindle fire hd froze up

this morning when i took my kindle off the charger, it started, but froze up and wont even shut off. the clock is not working, it won't flip screens when turned. nothing!!! do i need to remove the battery?

You can't remove the battery, at least not without potentially causing physical damage and definitely voiding the warranty. Reboot it. Hold the power switch for 30 seconds. You might want to have a peek at your user guide.

thanks, it turned off after 10 seconds. should i let it rest for a bit before starting it again?

It won't hurt but I don't think it's necessary unless the battery is very low.

ETA: If the battery is low, charge it fully, preferably from an A/C outlet rather than a computer USB port.

My kindle will not start up it just keeps flashing kindle fire is there a fix for this
