I have added the gmail account it's supposed to sync with, but it's not actually showing any events. Can anyone help?

Hm...I'm not having a problem with mine.

Apple, when you open the app, there is a menu button in the top right corner. First, try using that and telling it to Refresh (I'm assuming you are connected to wi-fi at this point).

If that doesn't work, go into the settings and check that the right account is showing.

I'm using Calengoo on a original Fire and like it better than the Google calendars on our other android gadgets or PCs. Sure hope it works on my fire 8.9 in 2 weeks.

Thanks for all of the help guys!!! My calendar events are now showing up. I think it was an issue of having created them in my Droid initially (though they were backed up in Gmail). I had to input them into my Google calendar again, and so now of course they are showing up. Android-->Gmail-->Kindle configuration issue? Anywhoo--I appreciate the helpful responses!!! :)

The above posts don't help. My Kindle Fire still does not sync with Google calendar. The e-mail and contacts synced just fine. Google calendar is set to display on the Kindle. Help!

I'm having this same issue. I'll look for a fix.

Me too. I received a Fire HD 8.9" for Christmas. Contacts and email are a-ok. I can't get the calendar app to budge in terms of syncing from google to Fire, or when trying to test a date/event from Fire calendar to google calendar. No go.

I am having problems as well. Does Gmail only allow syncing a certain number of devices to their calendar?? Email loaded fine, but not the calendar...

I too am having an issue syncing Google Calendar and Contacts with my Kindle Fire HD. The calendar synced the first time - but no updates. The contacts never did. I have checked all the settings on the Mail/Calendar/Contacts app, and I have tried to "refresh:" nothing.
Note: I have two gMail accounts linked, the primary is the one I want the calendar and contact info.

UPDATE: Calendar seems to be sync'ing now - I changed many things, including making my calendar 'public.' I don't know what configuration change caused it to work. If I figure it out, I'll update again. But Contacts have never sync'ed.

UPDATE 2: Contacts will update if I change them. The initial sync did not happen. I can live with this. It will take me a while to update/modify each contact, but I will get them sync'ed.

My problem is syncing multiple calendars. I can get my main calendar associated with my email but other calendars I've made and shared, I cannot access. Don't really feel like buying an app...

Kindle calendardefinately has "issues." Not syncing on Kindle Fire, but is on PC and Android phone.... hum. I wonder if Amazon has a clue yet?

I had the same problem. My google calendar is now displaying on my kindle. I tried numerous things to make it work until I shared my google calendar with my kindle email address (my calendar is private) and I deleted the gmail account from my kindle and reinstalled it. I am not sure which one or if it took both of these steps to made it work (I did them basically at the same time), but I know that it works now. Hope this helps.

Google calendar not syncing at all and Gmail not syncing on a regular basis. Last email sync was on 2/4. Nothing since then. I've checked wi-fi, setup, refresh, etc. and nothing happens.

I am having the same problem. I have some shared calendars associated with my Google account, but only my "main" calendar is able to sync. Have you heard of any fixes yet?

I found a workaround!

You have to set up the account manually first. You must use iMap. You must use a Google G-Mail account other than your own. Perhaps using your partners account user name and password for the manual account setup (or create a new G-Mail account as a dummy and use it). Once you have the manual account set-up for iMap, it will have imported the email messages.

Now for the workaround:
Go to a Applications and select "E-mail, Contacts, Calendar" then select, "Add Account." Select "Gmail" then enter your account E-mail address and Password and select, "Next." Now it will process to the next step where you will see the Calendar and Contacts option. Be sure that they are check marked if you want them synced. Select this account for default and continue to the next step where the account is added and synced with E-mail, Calendar, and Contact data!

Now you should delete the manually created E-mail account that you created at the beginning.

I finally got my Kindle Fire HD to accept my Google account calendar that I had synced with my Outlook calendar. But on my Kindle, in the month view, all I can see is the text "All Day" on dates where I have something scheduled. If I choose week or day, then I see the actual words "dentist appt 4 pm" etc. I always use "All Day" when I set events on Outlook...just curious why it shows those words on month view and wondering if I can fix that? I'm finding the list view works best for me at this point since it does show the actual events.

I also had a problem syncing my calendar. I tried deleting and creating it several different ways. The fix is easy: make gmail the default account when you initially create it. It does still sync if you make another account the default later.

This did help, thanks! I had to do both. Good to know I don't have to make my calendar public!

My calendars inexplicably synced the other day, so maybe Amazon patched it.
