Is there a way to set an alarm on your Kindle so that you don't have to check the time? For example, when I am reading on my lunch hour or before bed, I just want to get lost in a book and not keep checking the time. Ideas? TIA!

Lots of them. Look in the app store.

If you have a current Kindle Fire, it has a clock app with an alarm. Otherwise, no.

I was wondering about a paperwhite. Maybe the kindle free time will work for that. I have to investigate more.

The Paperwhite doesn't have an alarm, but I suppose you could explore Freetime options. Do you not have a cell phone or a watch?

use the search words "active content" when searching for paperwhite compatible apps. run a search and see what may be available or not. with the paperwhite being an ereader and not a tablet you may not find one.

I wish you had mentioned that in the OP. It would have saved the time I took to check my Fire and try to find out if the app I use is still available.

I wish my alarm app would Turn.On.The.Fire. I have to fumble for the power button, THEN swipe open, THEN dismiss. >:0/

I emailed them, but...

and I'm sure they'll do it for the one and only person who asks for it, just because she asked so nicely.

That just means they got right to work on it.
