We have a new kindle paper white and are trying to connect to wifi. This router is used for several devices successfully but we are unable to connect with the kindle. It is an Apple airport. Any suggestions?

What error are you getting? Does the Kindle "see" your network?

Resetting the router often helps (yes, even though it appears to be working perfectly with other devices). Resetting the PW *and* the router at the same time can also help. And the third thing that is often an invisible problem is that some routers have a limit on the number of devices that can be wifi-connected at the same time. If that's the case, and you're at the maximum without the kindle, then you won't be able to connect the kindle without disconnecting something else. You'd need to check the settings of the router to see if that's the problem.

Or the router might have MAC filtering enabled...

The router is a mini Apple airport...not able to reset it as far as i know. This works with other devices in the house (iPad and iPhones). The Kindle sees the the network and asks for a password. We put in the password and it tells us that it isn't able to connect.

The simplest way to reset ANY device is to turn it off and unplug it from the wall, leave it for a minute (or more; some recommendations say up to five minutes) to deplete any residual power, and then turn it back on again.
