Is there a way to turn off Dolby on fire HDX 8.9 inch?

Hmm. I don't see the ability to do that anywhere in Settings. I know you can do it on the older 2012 HD models, but I don't see it in my HDX anywhere.

Yes, you can turn Dolby Digital 5.1 off/on on the HDX. It's kind of buried in the menu structure, but it is there. To turn it on or off swipe down from the home screen and go to Settings>Applications>Instant Video>Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and then select on or off. I don't know why they didn't simply put it under the Sounds menu. That would seem to have been a much more logical place for it. Hope this helps.
