I have grandchildren that have kindles from my account. Is there a way to keep all my books showing up on their front page? It's a pain to have to remove them one by one.

I'm not sure how you're "removing" them without deleting them from the account altogether. But there are parental controls you can apply. What sort of kindles do they have?

I got them Kindle Fire 7 in one. All the book's I get go on to their kindle too even though I send them to mine and ones I get for them come onto mine.

Have you tried using the parental controls on their Fire?

All devices registered to the same account will have access to all the books on the account. That is the way that it works.

You could also try the FreeTime app on their Fire.

If yours is the default kindle on the account, then unless you change the "deliver to" field before you buy, then yes, the books will be delivered to your kindle. But without parental controls in effect, and if the books are only specified to be delivered to one kindle, then what will show on the other kindles is a LIST of the books, not the books themselves.

I don't have a Fire, but I'm sure someone who does will be able to give you specific help on applying parental controls. You should, however, be made aware that parental controls are fairly easily broken by any child with a bit of tech knowhow.

My personal opinion is that separate accounts are better in the longterm; you can always gift items to them if you want to pay for them.

I always change the where I want them to go thing for the ones I send to them but all mine go there too. They don't down load the whole book but fill up their front page so it is difficult to find their things. Removing mine one by one is annoying as I have a lot of books.

Keep your account separate from an account which all of the kid's Kindles are on. Open an account in your hubby's name, the name of your child-the kid's parent-or such, and have all kid's books bought by that account. Keep your personal account for the adult only stuff the kids can never get to.

I have the same problem with my books on kindle fire hd, except we share our kindle but this may work on 2 different units as well..I have 3 options for u.
1. If u want to turn off your auto sync mode that will stop your books from showing up until you are ready for them on any device. So, only books you direct will go to specific devices from what I understand if set up to not synced to all devices. This is why the book covers are seen on the other devices because all devices can see what is stored in your account in the cloud storage.
2. Use kindle free time as ur child's account protector. I do this. I buy books for my child & when I see them on my carousel, I right click and add them to favorites, so that I'll easily find them when I'm ready to put into his profile (after you've set up your child's profile in kindle free time in his device). Then you know the titles & drop them into his device via profile. I heard you can also do this with direct usb connect from your kindle to another kindle but I've not tried that because I only have 1 kindle though he will get his own tablet soon. With usb connect you may not need the free time profile.
3. If you want, as others suggested, you can set up a second account for your child. I used my prime account for this as free book deals come along often. I was able to set up spouse and child separate acounts so only what they (or you) buy goes to their device.
The last seems the easiest with no worries at all. Your child's kindle must have strong parental passcode to use this because of one click buy options in prime. Yes, kids b are smart but a 8 sight code with numbers, letters & symbols is hard to crack.
You might try the usb idea & see how easy it is to move books to another kindle. I'd like to know if that works.
Well that's all I have. I hope this helped.
Take care.
