I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone & can't figure out how to sync it with my Kindle. The phone already has a Kindle app that came with it. Does anyone have this phone or know how to do it?

Surveyah says:
its fairly straightforward, but you have to follow the sequence of steps...

1) Close the book your currently reading by going to Home on your Kindle.

2) Turn wireless on and do a Sync from the home page

3) Open the Kindle app on your phone at the home screen

4) If you already have the book downloaded, then do a Sync from the Library page

5) you book should open to the last page read

It worked! Thank you! So, after I read the book on my phone and I want to start reading it again on my Kindle, do I just hit sync again on the Kindle and it will automatically do it, or do I need to do something extra on the phone too?

Try Documents To Go or Office Suite Pro to read and edit MS Office documents, and Adobe Reader for PDF files.

I think they are all available in the App Store

Sync it on your phone first.......then open your Kindle and do a Sync there.....it should bring you to the last page read.

My experience is that it may not ALWAYS work right but it should

I've got a galaxy s3 and a kindle paperwhite touch, have managed to connect with Galaxy but asking for a password, which I've forgotten, how do i get a password, as I an't downloa kindle books.

Mrs. Snoek - It's asking for your Amazon password. The same one you used to sign on here to post. If you can't remember that, click here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/kindle-help.html - and enter your email address. Then, under the orange button, click on "Forgot Your Password?" Follow the instructions there.

Thanks, but its asking for the internet password, not the amazon. Have to get in touch with isp password.

Mrs. Snoek - For your phone? I have that exact same phone and don't have to connect to wi-fi unless I'm downloading my Nat'l Geographic magazine since it's a huge file. You should be able to download Kindle books just fine using 3G. On your phone's home screen (not the Kindle app's home screen) swipe from the top. Do you have Mobile Data turned on? It should be green. Is Airplane Mode off?

There is not a setting on the Kindle app to force it to use wi-fi for downloading so I don't know where or why you'd be required to use wi-fi to download books.

When I try to open my kindle app on my Galaxy S3 it says no internet connection, when my settings indicated that my connection is good or better. Why won't the kindle app let me register/sign in? How do I fix this?

Does the S3 have an active wifi connection? If not have you activated the option to allow apps to use mobile data in Settings > Data Usage? I ran into this issue when a update to the OS came down and reset it to not allow apps to access the 4G dataplan.

Don't forget to turn the phone off and back on again after you make the changes in Settings.

I borrowed some library books via Amazon and sent it to my kindle. Then I went back and told it to deliver the books to my samsung s3. I looked in the kindle app but the books havent showed up at all. Where else could they be? Or what am I doing wrong?

❤ Ann says:
@juli - Is the music in your Amazon Cloud Player? If it is, install the Cloud Player app on your phone and sign into your Amazon account. You can get it from the Amazon appstore or the Google Play store. See http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=sa_menu_mp3_and?ie=UTF8&docId=1000454841.

Do you know what the little padlock icon is for? It's on the lower right hand corner of the page when reading a book on my galaxy s3 phone
