"SAT & BAF! Memories of a Tower Rat" is a guided tour through my two years as security for the extremely controversial Pershing II nucear missiles in cold war Heilbronn, West Germany. It includes adventure, history, romance, travel, and a lot of humor. This is a light, entertaining read that tells my slice of the cold war. I told my story for all of us.

Historical romance --

In 1746. eight-year-old Colleen Stuart was more than ten-year-old Jonathan Rodes' playmate -- she was his best friend. She could do anything a boy could do and best of all, she could play jokes on the adults without getting caught. Jonathan assumed they would always be together, but no sooner had his father told him the secret of the jewels, than his world collapsed. The King's men executed his father, his ailing mother died and he found himself painfully separated from Colleen. For years he remembered his promise to find her, but it seemed hopeless until one day an odd letter arrived.

The chance to work with the greatest violinist alive drew her to Newton, but nothing could have prepared her for what she found there. Terror lurks in unexpected places--a ringing phone, a late-night rehearsal, unexpected flowers.

Thriller

Mysterious objects are found buried deep in the ocean. They wake up and start sending signals to outer space, triggering a frantic search for answers. This very realistic thriller often leaves readers wondering, "if this story might not be fiction at all, but something very real and very disturbing." The novel has the unqualified recommendation of a noted book critic, Alan Caruba, who says, "If you read just one novel in 2011, make it Falling Star", and has been consistently in the top 50 for "thrillers > spy stories & tales of intrigue" since the beginning of April.

Falling Star - Still only 99 cents

Title: I.O.U. Sex
When June, Kiki, and Peggy graduated from high school, all three were still virgins. After all, they were good girls. Years later, the friends read June's diary from their senior year and joke about the sexual frustration they caused their steady boyfriends back then. That's when Kiki says, "When you think about it, and I'm only trying to be fair, we owe those guys sex." With bawdy jabs and tipsy laughter, they make a pact to track down their old boyfriends. Will their sexual IOUs be paid in full? Or is this just another one of Kiki's crazy ideas?

A Kingdom's Cost

Eighteen-year-old James Douglas can only watch, helpless, as the Scottish freedom fighter, William Wallace, is hanged, drawn, and quartered. Even under the heel of a brutal English conqueror, James's blood-drenched homeland may still have one hope for freedom, the rightful king of the Scots, Robert the Bruce. James swears fealty to the man he believes can lead the fight against English tyranny.

The Bruce is soon a fugitive, king in name and nothing more. Scotland is occupied, the Scottish resistance crushed. Only James believes their cause is not lost. With driving determination, he blazes a path in blood and violence, in cunning and ruthlessness as he wages a guerrilla war to restore Scotland's freedom. James knows he risks sharing Wallace's fate, but what he truly fears is that he has become as merciless as the conqueror he fights.

The Proposal: Book One

The Beautiful People is an 8 part novella saga which focuses on Hollywood and the entertainment industry in the late 90s and early 00s. The first part is pretty much an introduction to the characters, their backgrounds, motives and what drives them as people. I love intense characters (even if mine are supposed to be superficial). I suppose it is also an expose and puts people into certain camps (what characters they like, are sympathetic to, loathe on sight... the spice to any good book). Although to be honest, I don't write black and white characters; they are a myriad of shades of gray (no one is completely innocent or completely guilty and all people are significantly shaped by our upbringing and childhood).

Would you help, would you run, or would you just watch?

When a young woman is brutally assaulted by two men on the subway, her cries for help fall on the deaf ears of onlookers too terrified to get involved, her misery ended with the crushing stomp of a steel-toed boot. A cell phone video of her vicious murder, callously released on the Internet, its popularity a testament to today's depraved society, serves as a trigger, pulled a year later, for a killer.

When emailed a video documenting the final moments of a woman's life, entertainment reporter Aynslee Kai, rather than ask why the killer chose her to tell the story, decides to capitalize on the opportunity to further her career. Assigned to the case is Hayden Eldridge, a detective left to learn the ropes by a disgraced partner, and as videos continue to follow victims, he discovers sometimes just watching is fatal.

Hi!
My name is Lina Tyuliep.I would like to introduce some paperback that is called a booklet not a book. Actually, there are two booklets with the identical title "Cornucopia of my..." in the series. They could be used in the time when you are not disposed to read to learn something new but are more willing to reflect on something or put your thoughts on paper for further rereading or refreshing of your memory.
Here is the link:
