What do you like to read? I like suspense, mystery if I am reading just for fun. If I am reading for any other reason I most read currently canning and survival books.

I found the most informative book on canning from the department of agriculture of all places. My favorite book on gardening is seed to seed. I had no idea so many different type of vegetable and fruits were given to cross pollinating. I surprised to find out how uninformed I was on cross pollination. If a plant does that is does not effect the current crop but the off spring from the resulting seeds.

I have to work at a standing post for 12.5 hours a day an do not think I would make it if it were not for my murder suspense books. They make the day go by so much faster. On an exceptionally boring day I can dive in and pretend I am somewhere else.

Off topic but has anyone been to or still live in the Grant Pass Oregon area? Thinking about moving to perhaps Selma which is near there.

We like to read fiction and non-fiction books. However, we don't read that much.

Lin,
I'm just like you - I totally veg out by reading mystery/detective books. The only thing that's bothered me since I got the kindle is this seems to be my only 'diet' of reading any more...guess I can't blame the machine, but it makes it so much easier to have so many choices on offer that I can take with me wherever I go. I really need to make an effort to keep up with reading some more strenuous stuff.
Good luck with getting the book out there!

I downloaded kindle for my pc and have been reading books on survival techniques, canning and gardening lately. Have not had to much time to read recreationally lately. Trying my hand at making cheese at home.

Hi!
My name is Lina Tyuliep.I would like to introduce some paperback that is called a booklet not a book. Actually, there are two booklets with the identical title "Cornucopia of my..." in the series. They could be used in the time when you are not disposed to read to learn something new but are more willing to reflect on something or put your thoughts on paper for further rereading or refreshing of your memory.
Why I am writing about this booklet here, may be you will find it of interest to you when there is some boring day.
Here is the link:

With warm regards,
Lina Tyuliep

my book is fiction Fire Competition: Fa Kei Sum's Story

Find out how she deals with this heavy responsibility. Will she be strong enough to handle all the responsibilities?

Getting back to the op's original question, I like to reach horror and techno thrillers...although lately I've been branching out a bit and trying new things to mixed results. Some genres work better for me than others.
