$0.99 vs $2.99?

C.J. says:
I have a book which is slowly gaining pace. Nothing tremendous but about 15-20 sales per day, which puts me in the 50th range in paid Kindle books for my genre. I am very happy about that.

However, I am selling it at $0.99 as I just want people to read it. But now that I am getting a few royalty checks, I have to admit I am thinking about more of a paycheck. If I raised the price to $2.99, I would be earning $2 per book instead of $0.35.

If raising my price to $2.99 results is fewer sales, but a bigger check, well, I guess I would like that. But if raising the price would really hit sales so that I would be making about the same, well, frankly, I would keep it low just to have readers.

Any opinions on this?
