Dragon Fate is a heroic fantasy adventure in the classic tradition of the genre. Hi! Thanks for the opportunity to post.

THE CURSE - Hopefully, you will want to curl up in your favorite chair and treat yourself to a year in Karla's chaotic world.

An insightful book about forbidden first love, living with bipolar, and dealing with prejudice, this novel derives its title from Karla's struggles with manic depression now renamed bipolar. In this approximately 72,500 word novel, sixteen-year-old Karla Stevens struggles with fearful dreams, first love, and Christian faith. She has always detested prejudice in others, but discovers a family secret that teaches her that she is also prejudiced. If you like realistic fiction, you should enjoy this story with its 1963 setting. I experienced most of the dreams, the visits from the unseen world, the voices that wanted me dead, and the failed attempted suicide. While this is true, the plot is totally fictitious. This is a rewrite of my self-published book THEY CRIED which won first place in the North Carolina Press Club novel division and second place in national competition in 1991. The rewrite has a stronger Christian slant and the reader learns what happens between Chet and Karla. Kindle price $4.99.

HANNAH'S QUEST FOR LOVE - "Why doesn't Papa love me?" is the question that screams from Hannah's soul.

Hannah, a Jewish maiden, wants one thing in life, her father's love. She has one hope. If God chooses her to be the virgin to bring forth his son, she's sure her papa will love her. This book paints a picture of life in ancient Israel when God, who had not communicated with His chosen people for over 400 years, sends John the Baptist and Jesus to reach out to the Israelite people once again. Enjoy this time in history through Hannah's eyes. On Kindle this approximately 67,500 word count novel is $3.99.

HEAVEN-BOUND OR HELL-BOUND? (THE ZON TWINS) - Don't let the title fool you. There's humor in these nine short stories even though they are about the vital truth that Christ within us is salvation.

As we know, rivalry between peers often runs deep, especially between twins. The rivalry between nine-year-old twins Rosie and Josie Zon intensifies after Rosie accepts Jesus Christ as Savior. The bickering between the twins will delight young readers and at the same time introduce them to the concept that Jesus Christ is the way to heaven. Though written for juvenile readers, adults in my church are saying they could hardly wait to get to the end of these short stories to see if Josie ever became a Christian. The short stories averages about 1550 words each. Kindle price $2.99.

TIME IS TICKING - Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6.

If you want to instill character building traits in children, I think these fables will help. When writing fables, bunnies can be handicapped and sad, but learn perseverance. Squirrels can stop being miserable after exercising courage. Beavers can have a hard time using good judgment, and monkeys can tell so many lies, they can endanger their families. The other stories that teach character building are about kindness, respect, responsibility, self-discipline, and working together. Time is ticking because if children fail to learn good character traits early in life, when young thy may walk on your toes; when older they may walk on your heart. My daughter Gina Langston, a teacher, helped me with these short stories. Kindle price $ 2.99.

Kodai Okuda says:
"Kabuto Tokugawa was no novice when it came to war. He'd fought through his fair share of conflicts in the past, but this one was different.
It wasn't about nation against nation, or conflicting ideologies.
No, his keen instincts told him this struggle would be waged over the secrets held within the alien ships found at Alpha Centauri.
Of this he was certain, the future of mankind was threatened by unseen forces moving to secure their own power from both sides of the battlefield."

Extinction Theory

Lair of the Dragon by Frederick Price
Five Stars - Pulls the reader through a maze of criminals: By Midwest Book Review

A retired detective lieutenant, Frederick Price spent thirty-three years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department. He spent time in everything from patrol to special investigations, and investigated cases ranging from organized crime to terrorism. Lair of the Dragon is his first mystery.

Every portion of police work involves the writing of reports. Combine this with the years spent in dangerous situations with bad guys, some life tragedies, and an overbearing captain and you have the beginning of Lair of the Dragon. Chad Belmontes is a Metro Detective who is still mourning the loss of his wife and child. When his supervisor threatens punitive action if he doesn't catch up on his caseload, he fakes some reports to save his hide, never dreaming that his faked report sets up an alibi for a murderer. As he and his friend Stan begin to dig, they uncover an organization of Triads, a Chinese mob, run by Benny Chi:
"Returning to his chair, Wu accepted Belmontes' offered cigarette. 'Chad,' he began again, 'these are real fanatics you're dealing with. Triad rites and ceremonies are based upon 36 Hung Mun oaths. They are...' 'Hung...what?' Belmontes interrupted. 'Blood oaths,' Wu answered. 'These oaths basically demand allegiance by all members to the Triad. As part of their initiation ceremony, new members drink a mixture of their own and other initiates' blood. It's supposed to make them bound for life.'"

Chad Belmontes is a marred cop who is lovable in spite of his warts. The one thing that stands out is his basic sense of honesty and decency...even to the point of putting his life in jeopardy for a system all too ready to pounce on one mistake. Frederick Price does a bang-up job of creating a real police environment, which translates to overworked men who are expected to be superhuman in their pursuit of crime and organizations. They are often outgunned and out manned, and they have to use their wits to get the better of their adversaries. Price reminds us, via Belmontes' character, just what a thankless and dangerous job police work is. Lair of the Dragon pulls the reader through a maze of criminals and murders that is exciting and frightening. A great read!

Fluke $4.99 (Kindle) & $9.99 (Paperback) Fluke
By Bart Hopkins and David Elliott

This book began as a story shared/emailed between Dave and I in 2001 during our back-to-back deployments to Bosnia (though it has nothing to do with the military). If you'd like some more background information, please visit my website,

Book Description:
Adam Fluke is a regular guy. He wants love, friendship, and happiness. However, his bumbling-but-good-natured tendencies have left him lacking direction in life. Content with his lack of motivation, he earns a meager living as a pizza delivery boy.

Everything changes one night, though, on a medium cheese pizza delivery to Sara DuBeau.
Sara is interesting, intellectual, fun, and successful: everything Adam believes he is not.
An unexpected, whirlwind relationship begins, and it's a match made in heaven.

Or is it?
Their storybook happiness is called into question by the discovery of a mysterious, buried-away photograph of a man with an uncanny resemblance to Adam.

Secrets are revealed, the search for answers begins, and Adam's very identity is suddenly the one thing that could tear them apart.

Lyn Horner says:
Excerpts from 5-star review for Dashing Druid (Texas Druids):

"I enjoyed Darlin' Druid, the first book of this series. It's combination of a solid western romance storyline with a unique twist on the formula provided by the infusion of a significant amount of the supernatural was a fun read that was very different. Dashin' Druid continues the story, this time focusing on Tye Devlin, the brother of the heroine in the first book . . . .

For much of this book, the supernatural aspect of the series felt almost absent, mentioned, but low key and insignificant to the plot. However, the sexual tension between the hero and heroine was so strong that throwing in too much of the supernatural would have felt like overkill. During the later part of the book, the supernatural talents of the Devlin family come more to the fore, as tension of all types increases.

In the final analysis, I enjoyed this book even more than the first." -- Big Al's Books and Pals

Green Eyes says:
DARK LIAISON, A Christian Suspense Novel (The COIL Series)

A PLOT has spawned inside the CIA. Ambassadors of Abaddon have targeted Christians around the world for one purpose: to destroy COIL and its founder-servant, Corban Dowler.

A BOLDNESS has grown inside COIL. The Coalition of International Laborers has remained stoic in spite of violent attacks from dark agents. With God's help, they will not be hindered.

A NEED has developed in Malaysia and COIL responds with Christian fervor. But as that which destroys looms ever closer, COIL finds it difficult to be the protector while it is also the target.

Story Time

I can best describe this book as a more tightly focused "The Stand" or even a more gripping and believable version of the movie "Independence Day." Either way, I encourage every reader to delve into this hair-raising account of a future that seems so convincingly real that I can still see the horrific and emotional scenes unfolding as I write these words. Through the shifting vantage point of the overwhelmed young teacher Naomi, the reporter Steve Cummings, and the giant basketball player Michael Anderson (who resembles Michael Jordan in my mind's eye), we witness the utter destruction of planet Earth, an event which has apparently signaled a free-for-all among ruthless alien races who arrive to harvest the magnetic energy beneath our soils. Blood coats the ground as alien ships strafe what remains of our dying planet. In the midst of it all, Harmony Ranch's population swells into the hundreds and becomes the target of a radical religious group known as "The Angel's Sword." It's truly a battle of good versus evil as the last vestiges of humanity struggle to survive.

To tell you how these events unfurl and culminate would steal away half your fun, but rest assured your eyes will be riveted to the very last page. I give Linell Jeppsen's Story Time a colossal FIVE STARS.
