For the sake of other posters, it is considerate to stay on topic so that they don't have to read through garbage to find posts with substance/relevance. This is the outlet for our most primal posting urges.

This topic is to be used for the following purposes:
*To ask another poster a random question
*To make a bad joke/pun
*To see what kind of filthy double entendres you can get by amazon's moderation
*To make an obscure movie reference/discuss film
*To admit to guilty pleasures, whether they be musical or not
*To degrade and/or delude one's self
*To babble incoherently
*To post anything weird, wacky, witty, wild, whatever... this is our wasteland of unmitigated stupidity

Ghoul, something I was curious about... you recently said you had a 5,000 CD collection before tragedy struck. I know it's probably difficult for you to talk about, but sometimes it's therapeutic to discuss these things. Where they stolen?

L. Bazan says:
I think that people will post what they want wherever they Ian but I appreciate the concern. After all that is what these boards are about and it seems unnecessary to create another board when people will continue to do what they want on other boards and discussions. Anyway to add to your board "Let me In" was a horrible movie and I like to listen to "Careless Whisper" and "One More Try" from George Michaels. That is a pretty guilty pleasure I have and it takes a real man to admit he likes music like that.

It's not a whole board, just one topic. It seems people are becoming increasingly annoyed with off topic posts. I can sympathise. This topic is a symbol of my sympathy, whether it's functional or not. As they say, it's the thought that counts.
Besides, I do enjoy off topic chatter quite a bit. I've never even heard of Let Me In. Let me guess... it's a "thriller" where teenage girls get picked off one by one by an unseen assailent.

This discussion for this forum is a great idea.

The move let me in is a remake of the dutch? film let the right one in. The dvd for that movie should have subtitles but dosen't. Instead it has corny voice overs that drive you crazy. Let the right one in is one of, if not the, best vampires movies ever made. I recommend it highly. Don't let the dubbing detour you. I have never seen let me in to compare.

There is camera work in a swimming pool that is just awesome, all the action takes place at the back of the frame.

I`d rather not go into the details....but let`s just say Char and Ash does not enhance the sound ov Compact Discs......nor does it make beautiful Aaron Turner covers any more appealing to the eye.....heh....

I also love Barry Manilow......."He sings the songs that make the Slam Wi**ers cry"......

oh man....the worst part is,and Mr Ian can vouch for this,is that all the BDM/Slam Death and Goregrind that was selling for half price 5 years ago is pretty much financially unattainable to someone ov such modest to no income....I bet you had some real classics in that Smouldering Plastic Guggenheim Exhibit, huh?

That's alright, most of the tapes I had from, probably the same timeframe, broke down anyhow; on their own. That little piece of felt seemed to come off of all of them and then I got that annoying warble.

Heh......Lord Entropy is a fickle master to Music Mediums.....

Everyone post the top 5 most valuable bands they lost....I`ll go first...

1.COC-"Eye for an Eye".....pretty much priceless
2.Guttural Secrete....both LP and EP on Unmatched Brutality.....insanely expensive
3.Heinous Killings "Hung with Barbwire".....not attainable for less than a kidney
4.Blind Illusion......don`t even know if this is able to be bought....killer thrash with Possessed and Primus members
5.Cinerary EP....original press.....rare beyond pieces ov the true cross......
