Go die.

Obiviously vinyl > FLAC, but CD = FLAC sooooooo...

Plus you probably got that album from some insider something and just want to rub it in my (our) face(s).

I forgot that when you post here people are hyper critical. Soooo call Vreid whatever genre of metal that you want to out of the hundreds of choices. They are Black Metal but different than straight foreward black metal....jeez

@D.A.
Ummm over sensitive much....Hunter asked if they were prog....I said I thought of them as straight black in my opinion...where did anyone criticize you...dont get offended when no offense was meant....you'll have plenty of time for real arguments on this board...all of us like Vreid..we just have a different take on them

"So Marko, did the Dorks get themselves Gorgonized by eating gorgonzola cheese? Or was it by some alternate method?"

...it's from an AGATHOCLES song....I doubt you would like GD....they are a grind/noise band....I have about 30(give or take) of their releases so far...most are not easy to acquire.....especially since I don't tape trade anymore....

Hunter,

No, normally Vreid is not a progressive band. However, there are a couple of really great progressive moments on Milorg, especially on the first track Alarm. Don't let this shy you away from it though, I've been following Vreid since Kraft came out and Milorg is my favorite, they really stepped up the songwriting and have come fully into their own.

@DH
Basically what Surgibru said. I wasn't coming after you I was asking a question. Lay off the paranoia.

@Jayke
I haven't heard Milorg yet. Proggy elements are fine. I love Tyr, and they have some definite proggy moments. I'm going to the music store today, I'll put it on my list.

Hunter,

I hope you enjoy it. It's a bit of a change, but the songwriting has matured quite a bit and they're delving further into their own sound. I don't think that they were trying to be a Windir replacement as they don't sound much like that, but they're good in their own right. From what I'm told though, Cor Scorpii is pretty close to Windir's sound.
