Welcome aboard man.

I have never listened to these guys. I checked out a few tracks on youtube. Not bad really. Don't dig the vocals too much and while the riffs aren't anything revolutionary, my head was bobbing a bit. Good for them getting picked up by Metal Blade, as I see their first album was an independent release.

Never heard them but I believe their lumped into the retro-thrash thing, which is really hit or miss. I'll check them out though.

For me they are a local band,I have seen them about 8-9 times now. They have an old german thrash feel live- destruction meets kreator. If you can find there first cd on there own label maybe pick it up before they totally disappear. same as the first one on metal blade but does not say A.D. after there name. just for the collector if you are one.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcoms.

Yeah they are one of those new thrash bands but I think their second album Black Rivers Flow opens up a bit more instead of being pure thrash they add their own thing to it and I think they could have a big future escpecially scince they got picked up by Metal Blade.

EDIT- BTW satans music adviser you are one lucky person having seen them that many times live.

Thanks for the reccomendations. The only band from around where I live (that I know of) is called Downslave, and they are pretty good. They are like Lazarus A.D. with different vocals.

Demented Ted
The Plague RIP ROACH
The Dead Youth

Man I remember seeing all those bands you listed satan at the Thirst Whale in River Grove.
None of my friends road trip anymore which sucks cause somtimes these bands wont pass through and to see em you gotta drive a little. But its worth it and gives you some great memories.

Lazarus A.D. is amazing. I met and had smokey time with Jeff Paulick and Dan Gapen last year when they played at Emo's. Cool guys and great band.

I didnt start head banging until after the thirsty whale was gone. I've heard much about it however. Chicago does have some dope venue's for sure. The Vic, The Metro, The Riv, The Congress ( a bit echoey), The Aragon, The Double Door, The Bottom Lounge, Reggie's has a ton of shows these days....the Pearl Room out in Mokena was dope - gone now .... I really miss Riley's Rockhouse in Aurora... Bada Brew out in Crest Hill is cool too. Seen Macabre there twice now. Chicago doesn't do to bad for itself on metal shows and venues...

well since this turned into a chicago-milwaukee thing lets give a bunch more bands there props
metal reign
darklen reach (former members of metal reign)
the gruesomes
counter attack
burnt offering
witch slayer
redd baron
suicuide bride
sex kittens
sgt. roxx
the chicago/milwaukee area still has great venues and tons of shows to see. I really hate when the area has 4-5 shows and you need to see one. for all the locals there is an extreme brutal show in milwaukee this saturday it is the coma tour with kraanium from norway playing. also coathanger abortion, atrocious abnormality, carnal decay a total of 11 brutal extreme bands. $10.00
