NBC Chicago News just aired a story on the Jacksons return to 2300 Jackson Street in Gary, Indiana. There was a nice-sized crowd, and the new mayor gave them keys to the city. Their show is tonight in Merrillville, very close by.

Did Michael ever say he channeled Liberace and had a room full of mirrors?

J- thanks so much for these url's of Michael!!! He is just a dream come true. I really do think that He and Lisa were IN LOVE as much as it hurts to admit it to myself. If others had stayed out of it and Lisa had agreed to start a family with Michael, the marriage might have worked. Michael really looked so happy with her. Oh how I wish it had been me!!!! Anyway, I loved all that would open and I enjoyed the pics of Michael. A man with a childs heart must have been a blast. Prince (the singer) is holding up very well. Weren't he and Michael about the same age? Prince has been through a lot with the music industry as well. He's very low key now after dealing with the courts and getting his name back and all; what an industry of crooks taking the performers money from them after they do all of the work.Well back to Michael - what a dream of a man and I also like the short hairdo as well on him. Back to my fantasy land with Michael. --Thanks again. L.O.V.E. Reggie.

I agree, Reggie. The music industry can be a nasty place. So many artists in the past, now, and I'm sure the future, will be ill used by the "powers that be". I don't think I would ever want to be a parft of the entertainment industry: as Michael said, "There are a lot of sharks".

Just letting you all know that you most definitely do have to pay to re record someone song, sample, and perform live etc etc. You also need to ask for permission most deff. I took a few music law classes. But yeah since they are making money off them, you better believe "someone" besides them is getting a cut. Might of fact the Jackson brothers get zero cut and would be simply losing money to play MJs songs.

J I could only open one of the vids that came up from youtube. I hate that.Sometimes I get the sound but no picture opens. Some pics that were posted a few years back I always thought were superimposed with Michael's head and were sooooo sexy. I don't think that he would have actually posed for the picture. I know that he liked "The magic" of a performance but he was so very shy and I don't think that he really posed for them. Who takes them down from Youtube anyway? I wish that the Jackson family would put out a DVD of all of the vids that weren't on Michael's music CD/DVD's because I would purchase every one. Some look Very interesting and I would love to see them. Mannnnnnn! L.O.V.E. Reggie.

The brothers got a great review in Forbes Magazine.

The Jacksons: Showtime at the Apollo.

Last night in front of Harlem's Apollo Theater, the only thing thicker than the steamy summer air was the sense of anticipation.

Michael Jackson impersonators pranced across the sidewalk as street vendors proffered glossy photo albums of the brothers, all while camera crews from the major networks looked on. Inside, the surviving members of the Jackson 5-Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie-prepared to take the stage.

"We wanted to do the Apollo because this was pretty much where we started," Marlon explained. "We wanted to come back and do a show here just to reminisce, just to give the Apollo something back."

And give back they did. The Jacksons appeared on the stage in a puff of smoke, removing their sunglasses in unison for added effect. They quickly launched into a stirring rendition of "Can You Feel It," bringing a capacity crowd to its feet before moving on to their brother's hit "Rock With You" and a string of others.

It almost didn't matter what songs they played. There was a certain supernatural electricity in the air, Michael Jackson's brothers playing the songs they once performed together with him as well as others he sang on his own, stomping the same stage that served as one of their first launching pads over 40 years ago.

There will be more stomping in the coming weeks and months. Last night's Apollo performance was the fifth of about 20 shows the Jacksons will play through July as part of their Unity tour, their first since the Victory tour with Michael in 1984.

"It was time," says Jermaine. "It's so much music, it's a legacy that we have to continue to put out there with integrity and high standards. And it's healing, too ... We want to do this for [Michael], for us, for our 40 years of hard work."

The tour should also provide a nice boost to the brothers' coffers. The Jacksons have been playing venues like the Apollo that seat 1,500-2,000 people, and one member of their team estimates they're pulling in an average of $65 per ticket.

That adds up to a nightly gross of about $100,000-$130,000, of which the brothers likely take home 30-40% before paying out managers, agents and lawyers.

According to the brothers, though, the Unity tour is just a prelude to a larger comeback. They're hoping to eventually launch a bigger international tour, but first, they're heading back to the recording studio to finish up a new album.

"When it's ready," says Jermaine, "we'll let you know."

J, I truly think in their hearts they are doing this tour to honor their brother. Glad to see a positive review. It's as much about a sentiment as anything else.

I think it is good for them to get back to their music roots. I bet they are having a blast- but nervous too. It has been a long time. I wish them the best too.

I bet it's very emotional for them. You know people are calling out Michael's name throughout the performance.
