I live in Germany and got this box today.
It is NOT a well made box.
50(!) pages of the (nice) 250 page booklet is in french.
The cardboard quality is very poor.
Not the thick material we know from the Japanese editions.
They put the discs without a cellophane or paper sleeve into these thin jackets - crazy.
So most of the discs has glue on its surface.
The Japanese producers knows, how to make good packing for CDs in replica design.

Auxiliary:
It seems, the German deliverie has a series fault: the CD2 from "Circle in the Round" is twice and CD1 is missing.

Thank you for the warning - I was concerned about exactly these potential issues and have cancelled my order, since I already have most of the music on separate box sets. A shame, since they look like a bargain at the price but I'm not prepared to compromise to that extent.

Thank you so much. I'll have to think about this purchase for a while. Do anyone know where the cd's are manufactured (US, Canada, Europe, Japan...)? It now says "Import" on http://amazon.com.

It seems, there are only a small batch with the wrong "Circle" discs.
I know 3 people with the wrong disc and 7 or 8 people with the correct item.
Thanks the good Amazon service my replacement box is on the way.

The discs are made in the EU.

All Columbia albums for this price is for a Miles beginner a good deal.
But it`s a shame, that they used so cheap material for the sleeves.
Much of the discs have glue residues on their surface.
They skimp on material and did not put the discs in cellophane or paper sleeves. The (thin) cardboard holds the naked CD.
I wolud like to pay 20 bucks more for this fat baby with thicker cardboard sleeves and a cellophane sleeve for the discs.
I will try to get these Japanese cellophane sleeves to protect the CDs.

Thanks for the info, Miles Smiles. Your previous posts and some other considerations led me to cancel my pre-order, but I'm still trying to keep up-to-date on the area that matters most to me: the remastering used for each album.

If you or anyone else has time to look and answer, my thanks in advance: I was curious if the booklet indicates when each CD was remastered? AGHARTA & PANGAEA are the two that I was most interested in. Los Angeles Times suggested recently that they (AGH/PAN) were fresh remasters.

Thank you, Miles Smiles, for info on manufacturing and more. When I first read about this release, it felt a bit like stumbling on a treasure chest. Now I'm just confused and very disappointed. Thank you again, anyway.
