Every six months, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints holds what they call a General Conference. It is held on the 1st full weekend of April and October. The next will be held on the 1st and 2nd of Oct 2011. There are two, 2 hour sessions held on Saturday and on Sunday at
12pm and 4pm EDT (Eastern Daylight Time)
11am and 3pm CDT (Central Daylight Time)
10am and 2pm MDT (Mountain Daylight Time).
9am and 1pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)
8am and 12pm ADT (Alaska Daylight time)

During each two hour session, a opening and closing prayer is voiced , there is usually 4-5 Hymns sung, 6-7 speakers from a pool of the 1st Presidency, 12 Apostles, Quorum of the Seventies and other official positions.

Over the course of two days, 24-28 speakers will have given talks. They will cover varying aspects of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, including advice to help us in these latter days leading up to the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I invite all to come and listen to the voice of Christ's Prophet and Apostles.

The Conference is carried on the BYU channel on most cable networks. Ask your network to activate the freely available channel.
Live Video stream can be access on the Internet at byu.tv or conference.lds.org
Or you can come dressed in your Sunday best to a local LDS meetinghouse, use maps.lds.org to locate your nearest LDS meetinghouse. GoogleEarth satellite view, address and meeting times are provided. Regularly scheduled meetings are preempted for those of the conference. There is the occasional meetinghouse that lacks a satellite disk, please plan accordingly.

Internet user, please plan ahead and allow some time to install the freely provided "live video stream" application and latest Flash Player.

May the Lord bless you with his abounding spirit and love. May you feel of the love and concern our leaders have for each and every one of God's children here on earth.

Yours in Christ, Brother Niv

Hello

While everything is fresh in your mind tell us if any of the speakers actually said anything worthwhile in the sense of helping you to
be a better neighbor
have more compassion for the poor
having a willingness to make someone elses day better.

I'd much rather have you feel of their spirit first hand, then for me to botch up trying to describe things. ;-)

Yours in Christ, Brother Niv

www.exmormon.org and http://irr.org/mit/stories.html tells many stories of why LDS Mormon members "leave the fold". http://www.mormonnomore.com/index.html http://www.mormonoutreach.org/in_defense_of_christianity.php this last one shows how much Joseph Smith and early cult leaders hate Christians. They must have really been reprimanded for that lusting after teen girls.

The latest post is just another indication that the Pharisees of Old who lied about and hated Jesus, are well represented in their modern-day counterparts.

The claims and sources presented here are no more credible or correct about Mormon Belief and doctrine than Nazi Propaganda was about the Jews or current radical Islamic claims about Israel.

Honest seekers of truth, will recognize that the last place to look for the truth about any organization is from those disaffected from it who hold deep bias.

Anyone who would accept such Anti-Mormon dogma as truth would most likely also believe the Sanhedrin's account of Jesus over that of Paul.

In the battle for truth one would do well to embrace revelation from God over Anti-Mormon websites- Those who do so will know the absolute truth concerning these matters.
