I'm looking for a pop-up book for kids on the bin Laden killing. It should try to tame down the violence so that it's not innapropriate for younger kids, but still be fun and interactive, like with the tabs on the sides of pages to make the people move around and act out the whole raid. Has anyone seen anything like this?

I wish I could upvote this. Very funny Joseph, specially the part about tabs to act out the bin laden raid.

Those are all very good suggestions! Yes the toddler book is too young. We tried that at first, but they were too old for it.

Do you mean the one with the chip in it that lets you hear his wives and kids screaming obscenities in Farsi at the Seal Team?

I think they were screaming in Arabic. But not bin Laden. He wasn't screaming anything, but that's only because he was distracted because he had something in his eye.

I had a similar reaction as some of the rest of ya'll did upon seeing this headline,But I do think there should be someway to explain some of the stuff kids see in the media on their level so that they can understand things for what they are instead of being left to misunderstand things like this.

I am very concerned for your children. With all the blood shed, terror and atrocities in this world...I will pray that you find something wonderful and positive to teach your children. If they are allowed to tune into this kind of horror with your acceptance. Then perhaps you should turn to God for guidance . After all your children are blessings, gifts on loan to you by God. If you have no relationship with the Lord...i repeat I am very concerned for your innocent children. What you find as funny, was paid for with the blood of Americans...so that you can sit around and show off your brutal joking on the Internet. What purpose does you sick inquiry serve...I don t know you, and you might be a really great individual and goodta dad and this just a joke...maybe some find it funny. I find it repulsive and unacceptable...perhaps you should grow up or enlist and go over to Pakistan make jokes...you could be a stand up target... Then we could do a book about you...now that would be funny do you think? If you truly have children Do right by them. A.Peterson

Those are very good and insightful points you make. I posted that note and it is evident to me, and very likely every other reader, that you clearly understood what I was saying. Good for you, you illustrated the message perfectly.

Joseph, author & researcher (also, deployed with the 3/15th Infantry to Ramadi, Iraq 7/15/10-3/1/11 as a field social scientist, so that might mitigate some of your otherwise astute observations above)

Very intersting response Dr Diaz. Have you ever conversed with LtCol (ret.) Grossman? Given your background, I would assume it to be a possibility. One of his sons is a friend of mine.

What a brilliant Idea. It is entirely inappropriate. I love it .
