"OK....No more PUNCH for YOU!!!"

Oh, I'm way past punch at this point. I've also finished off all of the candy corn, the donuts, the apple cider, and those gummy worm things. Those were gummy worms, right?

<Stomach starts to tremble>

Oh boy. Do you have any magical elixirs equivalent to Maximum Strength Pepto Bismol? Also, I may just need to borrow that big black witch kettle of yours.

D. Larson says:
Halloween is one of the two times of year I feel slightly sorry for straight people.

Because I've been to straight Halloween parties, and I've been to gay Halloween parties, and let me tell you, gay parties are way better!

Not to cast aspersions on "normals" or "majoritarians" or "breeders", but most suburban straight parties feature store-bought costumes, Costco cold cut platters and inexpensive alcohol indifferently mixed.

Go a few houses down to your gay party, though and the themes more outrageous, the hors d'oeuvres more delicious, the decorating more over-the-top, and the costumes more elaborate (and more exquisitely made). I think some of these guys start planning their next Halloween on November 1st.

Also, since there's always at least one local hero bartender, the drinks are to die for. No Kool-Aid-and-vodka based punch for these bacchanals. And at least one local hero chef cranking out shrimp puffs. We got much-coveted invites to Kevin and Yao's party again this year, and I expect it will be Legend...wait for it... Ary!

Are you sure that you weren't bombed out of your skull and these were just midnight showings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

@D.
OK, you've piqued my interest--when is the other time of the year you feel sorry for straight people? Mardi Gras?

I feel sorry for all us unattacheds, regardless of team on Valentine's Day or I as like to call it "Single Awareness Day."

D. Larson says:
Pride Week, of course. You got the block parties, the Loring Park ingathering, the parade, and thousands of your co-religionists in town for the biggest GLBT festival between NYC and Seattle. Probably bigger than Seattle, actually. Plus various pool parties, back yard cookouts and special nights at bars.

I mean, it ain't the Dinah Shore, but it ain't bad.

As a counterpoint, of course, we do have to go to SWMBO's office parties. She's a prosecutor. You can imagine how lively those affairs are, especially when she and her fellow prosecutors start talking shop.

After looking at the picks, the Lizzy Borden outfit, is killer. No pun intended. I thought you were making a joke with the whole *Give my boyfriend 40 whacks!!!* that's why I responded with *laughing my a88 off* "Holy crap, that was funny!" If I was rude, I apologize.

The outfit works. I myself would go as this if it didn't cost so much....
