Rock,

It's probably best that you don't share that info with the in-laws. lol

Ping Pong Playa is super funny. I may even like it a smidgen better than Balls of Fury, if you can believe that!

Haha...See, I'm actually the opposite of you. I thought that the band actually started to get more interesting in the late Eighties/early Nineties period. I enjoyed their albums Zooropa, and Acthung Baby.

It must be pretty good then! I will definately have to see it now.

oops, my bad. I meant I liked them until Achtung Baby. The high point of that album for me (and I do mean ALBUM) was the full frontal nudity of Adam Clayton on the back cover.

The man is gorgeous.

Rock N Rolla: I haven't seen them live, and I guess I'll never get the chance unless they reunite :(

I've seen Pearl Jam live twice and Eddie Vedder solo (they're my favorite band); I've seen the thrash metal band Megadeth live and I've met them (and Dave Mustaine again at his book signing); I saw two other thrash bands Exodus and Testament at the Megadeth concert.

Green is perhaps my second favorite R.E.M. album, though Stand is my all-time favorite song of theirs.

And U2 has a few good songs here and there, but they're certainly nothing to get excited about.

Rock~N~Rolla says:
You would probably get along great with my wife then because Pearl jam is probably her 2nd most-favorite band. It's a toss-up really between Pearl Jam and The Cure. We've never seen Pearl Jam live, but we did see The Cure live back in the mid-Nineties. She's got all kinds of Pearl Jam related memorabilia floating around this place.

Not much into Exodus or Megadeth, although coincidentally a guy that I know from work recently gave me some old CDs of Megadeth, and Anthrax, and some other similar bands, and I have been enjoying listening to them here and there. I never knew that there was a Judge Dredd song done by Anthrax until lately? I've been a Dredd fan since forever and it's the first time I ever heard of this song, and it sounds pretty good.

Give me a selection of New Wave of the late 70s and early 80s, and I'm a happy camper. With rare exceptions, the last time pop music was really fun and smart at the same time.

Do you think it is too Happy-Snappy-Sappy even for the Super-Happy thread?

I always liked Fozzie Bear, and Kermit. They seemed like nice, down-to-Earth kinda puppets. No Animal though please, he always wrecks every place he goes. Yoda is cool too.

Will you also exclude Miss Piggy? Her high maintenance routine is a kill joy for me.

That's right, they did do that to some Yoda scenes, didn't they?

Old Skool, am I.

No way! Miss Piggy may be high-maintenance, but she's worth it. That's a whole lot o' sexy lady.

I saw episode one 3d and they completely replaced the puppet yoda with the cg one. I don't know if theyll do it to the original trilogy one tho.

That's right, that's where I saw it at. I have my Darth Maul 3D glasses right here. What I really wanted was the Anakin glasses though. Star Wars 3D Glasses - Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace - Limited Edition Podracer 3D Glasses

They didn't have any of those cool Avengers 3D glasses at my local theaters either! I wanted those babies so badly too.

Sexy + High Maintenance = Worth It

Not Ugly + No Maintenance = ?

I'm trying to figure out where that girl bass player (can't remember her name) stands.

Hi Rock,
The New Super MarioBros 2 DS comes out on Friday! We're going to buy it for our daughter for Christmas, so will be saving up for it. Hopefully the price may reduce a bit in a few months' time.
