There was this one time where I put a pink wig on Mr. Snuffleupagus and, well...you don't want to know the rest.

Poor Mr. Snuffy still refuses to talk to me ever since that little incident.

We don't own a DS, but I'm kinda thinking about buying one. A neighbor's nephew said he's going to buy Luigi's Mansion 2 for it and I loved the first Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube, so much that I'm tempted to buy a DS and part 2.

What I am really waiting for is Super Mario Galaxy 3! When is that one coming out?

And my Playstation 2 finally went kaput on me, so now I need to buy a Playstation 3.

Wow, the Wii is 6 years old already? Time flies.

I better start saving up now for the Wii U.

Anthrax is another solid band, I enjoyed Among The Living thoroughly. Caught in the Mosh is among my very favorite thrash songs.

WAS: What are your thoughts then on the grunge movement of the early 90s?

We will be saving too! I think the Wii is the best games system invention ever, and the Wii U looks fantastic.

Grunge takes itself a bit too seriously. Nothing particularly new there that hadn't already been done in punk.

WAS: I found it more engaging than punk to be perfectly honest. Many of the musicians were actually quite talented (I believe the guitarist for Tad was classically trained). But then again, I am the grunge fan on the forum.

Grunge was the inevitable merger of punk and metal. Everyone knew it was coming for years, just not where it was going to come from.

While it's true that I do enjoy a good zombie movie now and then, I never really got into any of the horror-themed video games all that much. Mostly because any free time that I have to play games is already being taken up by the Mario games or racing games that I enjoy playing the most. They are very time-consuming games. But I will give the Zombies U a look.

Speaking of zombies...
Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition Plants vs Zombies is a PC game that I have been playing quite a bit for the last two years or so. I am completely addicted to this game and so are most of the people who I have referred it to, except my Sister-in-Law who just loves the incredibly popular Angry Birds better. Plants vs Zombies is a tower defense strategy based type of game, it's very comical, and yet very challenging. I've played through the regular adventure game countless times, and have played the puzzle games, and mini-games over and over again as well. There is a version of the game included called Survival Endless and that is the most-challenging part of the game. I've made it to as far as level 32 on that so far, but I've seen videos that fans posted on You Tube who have made it to over level 100 and beyond, which is what I've been trying to do lately with no luck. Anyway, I don't want to bore the folks out there who do not get into games, but for those who do and haven't played Plants vs Zombies, just get it, you will love it.

I'm trying to think of the Grunge Cds that I own in my collection? Nirvana, of course, and Soundgarden, and that's all that comes to mind right now. KISS did a Grunge album Carnival Of Souls and it is actually one of their best albums ever, and one of the few that does not center around songs about partying and sex. Grunge is fun to listen to every so often, but I can only take so much of it before it gets to be too depressing.

A few things to make one happy:
1. The whining sweatfest in London is over.
2. It's cooled down a bit here--although that is still only a relative term.
3. I'm rereading Wilson's Prometheus Rising--and his optimism is invigorating.
