J. Baker says:
You might be right about Bruckheimer being the main force behind that awful remake idea. Well, either way, I fixed my flip comment at the end. I didn't mean anything mean by it, but I can see how it could be interpreted as off-color at this time.

According to Stephen Fry, Anthony Scott was a really nice, civilized guy in life. That's good enough for me.

Oz le Fou says:
Yeah, an endorsement from Fry is good enough for me too.

His death is strange. So much success, and so on. It took me by surprise. My first thought was manic/depressive.

Full circle, the best show I've ever seen on Manic/Depressive sufferers was a show by Stephen Fry called Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive. It highlighted the inability of sufferers to reason their way through the troughs; that many see no way out at all. It's a tough gig.

J. Baker says:
MD...yeah, I think that is probably true.
So, because Tony Scott was a great fan of rock and roll, one of his favorite movies being 'Performance', and his own style he thought of as r'n'r... this one's for Tony.

J. Baker says:
'Death Rides a Horse' was lucky in the timing. It probably wouldn't make it if it were included on the list now.
I wonder whether all those voting down 'Modern Romance' have in fact seen it. Could just be it's a very tough list to choose between at the moment.
