"If you want to joke, fine, but try to add to topic. You don't have anything to add, move on."
-Agreed. No disrespect intented. Sorry if it sounded a bit close minded, or disrespectful in any way...

Shocking and disturbing it might be, as there are different kinds, not all worthy of respect. But mostly, Porn is sexual entertainment. Its stimulating, sexual excitment. Movies, scenarios, role plays...whatever. It involves people being filmed having sexual relationships. Sometimes in a certain context, sometimes not. Millions of people watch porn everyday. Porn is an industry feeding on natural and basic human needs. As for me personally, as long as no one is exploited against his will or knowledge, hurt physically or emotionally against his will, Then i have no problems with it ! :)

>>>But in this age of computers and the web, it's probably reached a peak.

Did you strive for that double-entendre or was that accidental? ;-))

Do you by any chance watch the BBC's "Sherlock"? If you don't, you should, because it's an excellent show. If you do watch it, you know that from the very first episode, John and Sherlock were being shipped as a gay couple. There is a whole hothouse alternative universe (nicknamed 'the Cumberverse' by moi and various others) that portray our boys, the heretofore strenuously heterosexual John Watson & the legendarily asexual Holmes as partners in every sense of the word. EVERY sense, including a few that hadn't been invented until now. I was wondering if you were aware of this and what your thoughts were.

YouTube is pretty tame. For the really, really (REALLY) filthy stuff, Deviantart.com and Tumblr.com are treasure troves for the audacious voyeur. These are all digitally created representations--anime, pencil, various other art media--not actual photography because, well, none exist. John Watson proclaims, in every episode, to no avail, that he's actually not gay; Sherlock is a bit more nebulous . . .he's always been famously asexual before, but he may be Johncurious . . . anyhoo, our actors, both of whom in long-standing relationships with women (Martin Freeman has two children with Amanda Abbington) say they are flattered . . .and the subtext is that they are a bit skeeved out as well. Or more than a bit, if they dare to look. I'm telling you that a camera could not be more graphically representational than what comes out of the overheated minds of our artists. Benedict Cumberbatch was quite adorably flustered when trying to be properly thankful for the attention AND politically correct lest he offend at the same time while desperately trying to make it clear that he hadn't actually done those things, had no interest in doing them and couldn't figure out how some of them would be achieved and found it all rather frightening. He may play posh toffs on TV and he may be a product of Harrow but he's not quite THAT public school.

Anyhoo, if anybody is interested in some Sherlock, em, adult entertainment, that's where it can be found. Before plunging in (see, I can do my own double-entredre), be sure to anchor yourself to a secure object so you can find your way out again.

Porn Films even try to be mainstream with their version of the Academy Awards. I think it is called the Boner Awards.

Didn't last year's Boner Awards come down to a schwing vote?

To my knowledge it's called the AVN Awards or something like that unless there's another one that I'm not aware of.

Maybe it's just ideal for people who really starve for attention by any means I suppose. Getting an award based on something that's done at home everyday makes no sense: Best Oral, Best Anal, Best Girl-Girl, Best 3Some, Best Breasts, Best @$$, Best Whatever. It's just glorified pimping.

I dunno; I can boil an egg at home, and even make a fair-to-middling egg salad. ButI can still see why they have awards shows for best cooking. I've made some terrible home-brew beer. too, but i enjoyed the craft brewer competitions where people with skill and talent make really good beer.

And, however good I think I am at girl-girl, I'm perfectly willing to concede that there are professionals who can do it more artistically. And they have to worry about lighting and camera angles and makeup. All we worry about a our house is whether we remembered to lock the back door, pay the water bill or buy D batteries.

Boobs are their own purpose; they require no justification.

As a fan of boobs, I'm envious of their deep imagination.

In response to D. Larson comments on, "Getting an award based on something that's done at home everyday making no sense". I have to agree with her. Though porn stars are doing what we all do everyday, most women aren't taking 12 inch members for hours on end and most lesbians aren't lying on their backs beneath hot lights all day either. Love them or hate them, porn stars have a hard job (No pun intended)

The average juice scene lasts about 5 minutes long and are edited to last longer with multiple angles, sometimes.

the purpose of porn is to generate profits for morally lax individuals - it falls into the same category as racketeering, corruption, money-laundering and prostitution - the wide-spread acceptance of porn (just read the outraged comments in this discussion that anyone should dare challenge the "sanctity" of porn) is one of many examples of the proto-criminalisation of society by the same afore-mentioned morally lax individuals who feel a whole lot better if everyone is "sharing" in the laxity - so just how lax is pornography ? that's for each individual to decide for themselves - nice post by the way - if porn was banned tomorrow would any but hard-core addicts really miss it ? I would say no - it's mostly just a form of static in the societal brain (as are a lot of non-porn movies too !)

money-launderers like porn-merchants take the view that no one is really getting hurt - hence I didn't mention things like gun-running and drug-trafficking where even the crims involved have bad consciences - I have watched loads of porn and still do on occasion - like I said how lax depends on the individual - it is no big deal in small doses but it's not exactly "good" is it ? (asked you a very pointed question) - the point is this I guarantee you you have never thought of making money in the porn business - you don't mind others doing it and then having a peek at the product but you yourself wouldn't be a manufacturer would you ? (don't evade by setting up bs hypothetical scenarios - tell the truth) - like I said the manufacture and distribution is the province of the morally lax - not the morally depraved or the Unforgiven but the lax - if it disappeared tomoorw it would be no big deal - if it continues likewise - but what is its purpose ? - exactly what I stated - you assumed at once that I was a Bible-basher - maybe I'm just a guy that prefers not to self-deceive wherever possible

That's alright, I was being snarky.

But, to paraphrase Hazel Motes ("Wise Blood", 1979), "No woman with good boobs needs to be justified!"

Or in the words of Toby Jones' character in "My Week With Marilyn"--

"With boobs like that, she doesn't need any other talent."
