J. Baker says:
The important thing to remember is, our guys, our Countries, our whatever, are always right, and never to be questioned. They are perfect in every way, and so are we by supporting them.

Hurray for our team!

The worst is yet to come. We keep getting better and better at it.

Press down "alt" key and "3" in the numbers key at the same time.

As Georgedc proves time and again, even a monkey can do it. Or a robot, or whatever he is.

But that looks like an ice cream cone on the sidewalk, or something dirtier, to me.
Once you get the hang of "alt" + (which ever #s) the world of internet icons is yours! ♥♡♥☆★★;☆♡

"And to save you when you get stuck on the treadmill?"

Well, yeah, but first they have to get me on the treadmill in the first place. In the future I will probably need an "Intimidator 2000" robot that can successfully harass and humilate me into exercising everyday. It should be programmed with all kinds of insults and tactics..."What kind of girly-man are you? Get off that couch you spineless lazy human and go work some of that flab off of your puny body! Resistance is futile!"

Is it possible that this application is disabled on certain computers? Because I have tried and I can't get anything to appear in the text box. I'll be stuck doing the ice cream on the sidewalk version: <3

You are so right. That really doesn't look like ice cream, but more like something Craig Ferguson has in his stand-up act.

There's another way to do it--under the Start button, type "character". That brings up the character map, allowing you to select and copy whatever you want in the character set.

WE live in L.A. now, the same fault line as San Francisco, so it doesn't matter. Besides, fewer big buildings to fall on you there anyway.

My wie claims I just want to go back to Cairns to sit in the open-air lobby of the hotel and drink Coke Zeros from the gift shop. She claims I spent half our last vacation just lounging there and saying, "This is paradise."

I confess to being so content I didn't WANT to move. And contentedness is an elusive thing.

JB: "until Georgedc arrives to stink up the whole area"

Guess I should reread his posts. I didn't "get" his comments and kind of glossed over them. What am I missing?

JB:"our Countries, our whatever, are always right, and never to be questioned"

And the amazing thing is that they are All right, all the time and that fact never cancels out the fact that all the others are right too. Amazing, isn't it?

Or--we can fight and prove whose is bigger and who is really Right!

This is what I find so weird about ultra-partiotism. Don't these people have enough perspective--it doesn't take much--to realize that all the other countries out there think THE SAME THING? Doesn't that bother anyone?

sloany: "Australian or Die!"

On our tour of the Blue Mountains we had a tour guide who was probably the most patriotic Aussie ever! He gave us a long story of your vote on a new national anthem and then played ALL the candidates for us! I told him you should have stuck with Waltzing Mathilda and he about had a hemorrhage, ranting about how ugly the story is. Yea, but its awfully pretty.

Then, on the return to Sydney he took us to the Olympic plaza and wanted to know, proudly, if we built anything like this when Los Angeles hosted the Olympics. I told him that I think the reason L.A. was chosen was because they already had all the sports venues and didn't have to build anything new. Perfectly true, but all I got was a withering stare--don't think he talked to me again after that.

Just another Ugly American abroad.

hikari: *Peter Weir

When are we going to get another Last Wave instead of more Green Cards?

And you cannot find the original theatrical cut of Picnic at Hanging Rock anywhere--not even vhs! His dreaded "directors cut" is omnipresent. His original version was better.

Aussie Cinema in General*

How about a dvd release of The Getting of Wisdom?

Most definitely! Essential music to any serious music collection, for sure!

Back in Black is my favorite AC/DC album though. Sorry Bon Scott, you are awesome, but Back in Black RULES!!!

I wouldn't go quite that far just cuz you don't get it, Stevign. Keep listening to whatever floats your boat and keep your naughty bits intact. You never know when you'll need them. Your naughty bits I mean.
