I recently started getting a playback error on all of my songs that I download from Amazon MP3 app on my Droid phone from Motorola. The error I keep getting is #119 and I even called in to Amazon's Customer Support to see if they could help and I was told that they needed to have their Engineers take a look at this error.

Has anyone else experienced this error before and if they have is there a quick fix?

If you are getting a playback error you should contact the manufacturer of the device and ask them what that means. I did a Google search on "Error 119" to see what that was and what I am finding is basically it is either a Windows Error or a Driver Error of some sort. In that case you may want to contact support for both; They will most likely end up telling you to do a restore either to your computer or your device as it would appear it's an issue of getting the mp3 to your device somewhere along the line. It also could be a problem with the program you are using to sync to your device. If you are synching to a Droid, then I would think the problem lays somewhere with the computer and it's ability to transfer the data properly. Hope that can shine some bit of light on the problem so you can go from there.

I download music all the time from Amazon and have been doing so for years. I never had a playback issue on my computer (Windows 7), never had an issue burning the songs to a CD to play in my car, never had an issue with a Sony mp3 player I had, and don't have an issue with my ipod touch (which is how I listen to my music the most as of right now).

If you are using an Android phone (I was having the same error) you need to uninstall the updates manually and then re-download them. Took myself and an Amazon tech over the phone 15 minutes to figure that one out. He has no clue why it happens.

I've just started having the same issue with things downloaded in the last week or so. Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly do you mean by uninstall the updates manually and re-download them. Thanks for the assistance.

32gb Mp3 Player. 1.8" LCD Screen, Fm Radio, 3D Sound --I have transferred about 7 gigs of MP3s into the player, but can't get it to play properly. Do I need to download any software into it?

Let me see if I understand correctly - you are saying that I would have to back out the updates to the Cloud Player installed on my Android phone and then reinstall them to make the error go away? Or is it possible I could remove Cloud Player entirely and re-install it to have the same effect? It worked fine for months and then within the last 30 days I can't play many of my albums on my phone that I can play on my computer through Cloud Player.

Thank you! I just had this 119 error pop up, and uninstalling the updates in the applications fixed it. Yay! :-)

hiya, I'm having a similar problem my error message is numbered #183 and amazon are linking it to a network error. I only bought the album on Sunday and havent even played it yet :(

When I receive the #180 error on my Nexus 5, I cannot listen to any of my music. I have been able to resolve this issue by downloading another song to my phone. This is only a temporary fix, however, it doesn't happen that often to where it is a real headache.

I dug out the logs for the app. Looks like Xposed is interfering with the with the connection on my end. Last part talks about xposedbridge, and another log says Amazon can't recieve verification to the account after a sync loop. Probably the way Xposed did the framework over-wrote a file or files needed. Maybe I'm wrong though

For over 6 months no problem using Apple TV and both my iPad3 and (more recently) iPhone 6+ to play downloaded TV shows and movies Amazon instant videos on big screen tv in living room and smaller smart tv in bedroom. Starting a couple of months ago on both devices the video will stop after a couple of minutes up to 30 minutes or more and on the devices I get this message "Playback Error - an error has occurred Please try again later or for further assistance contact Amazon Customer service." I have a lot of $ invested in downloaded HD videos.... hope someone can help.
