I just now finished uploading 8,000 tracks to Cloud Player. Plain-vanilla upload of 100% previously-owned and paid-for CD tracks from my HD, all MP3s without limiting features. Everything plays fine.
HOWEVER, almost half these files are IDed as UNKNOWN ARTIST/ALBUM.
They aren't unknown artist/album in iTunes or in Google Music Beta, both of which identify all 8,000 plain-vanilla MP3s seamlessly.
Having 4,000 unknown artist/album tracks limits usefulness of the Cloud Player severely. Oddly, all the track names are correct, so the Cloud Player is at least able to ID filenames at the track level.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there any way to fix it? I simply won't take the time to delete, fix, upload 4,000 tracks one-at-a-time. Had hoped to do a side-by-side comparison of Amazon, Google and the forthcoming Apple cloud music services--but the inability to match up tags on thousands of tracks will be a deal-breaker in regard to Amazon Cloud Player.
Any guidance appreciated! There seems to be no direct customer service for this product on the Amazon website--that I could find anyway--so hope other users might have some ideas before I abandon the Amazon Cloud. Thanks!
