I once had a French book of neo-romantic piano compositions / transcriptions - c. 1900 - with pieces like "Il Niege" by Henri Oswald, Tcheraphim, Debussy and a very special piece

"Claire de l'Une Sur l'Etange" by August Chapuis

It is a piano transcription (G flat I think) and I cannot find it anywhere. Does someone have that piece / book? Please contact me via my profile

Dear werranth413,

thank you very much for that - reading it brought back so many memories, it really feels like dragging one's feet through the snow.

I have searched for a long, long time for the Chapuis (it may have been in Cflat) which I can still hear and feel in my fingers very clearly from all those years ago. A well-worn cover-less copy of the book was in my Music department some 40 years ago, and I haven't seen another glimpse of it since. I believe it was one of a set of french neo-romantic transcriptions, but which - and what its title is - I simply don't know.
