Eddie H. says:
Another underrated band some of you guys should check out is The Tubes....when they got down to it,they really had it together , Remote Control and The completion Backward Principle....2 really terrific albums(produced and some songs co-written by Todd Rundgren)...and while we are at it XTC...just about anything by them, Skylarking is a wonder..(also produced by Todd rundgren)

I've been on a real power-pop kick lately, myself... Some of my favorite songs at the moment:

The (Paul Collins) Beat, "Don't Wait Up for Me" -- http://youtu.be/5WC_gdIRsuA

The dB's, "Neverland" -- http://youtu.be/hfpli2VQtZU

The Plimsouls, "Now" -- http://youtu.be/35HhZBUQqBs

Joyce says:
Dear ILHJ:
wish i could say the same, as it sounds heavenly, but for some (odd) reason, i have never liked the taste of anything sweet, so i cannot eat it without getting sick, but wish i could! I can't even eat fruit, drink soda, or pie, or cake, or anything! Can sometimes deal with extra rich, dark, 80% chocolate, but that's it! I will literally get sick, if i eat it!! been that way since an infant! weird, i know! one of the MANY strange things about me! It SMELLS great, but tastes terrible; must be something messed up with my taste buds!!!
glad for you though that you can enjoy it; really wish i could, but i just eat triple cream brie and heavy cream in my coffee, instead! that's like my "dessert"!
have a great day, and thanks for the post!
love,
joyce
p.s., talk about "off topic"!!! sorry, ALL!! this is me, stopping now! 1000 pardons, please!

Dear Eddie (AND little comment to Mitch!):
re: the inner light
yes, Eddie, it certainly is, which is why is said in my post earlier to you, "love the title, btw!" I guess you missed the joke! that's o.k.! "arrive, without traveling".....GREAT LINE TO A GREAT SONG!!! so, here's the rest (awesome lyrics/awesome song!):

Without going out of my door
I can know all things on earth
With out looking out of my window
I can know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Without going out of your door
You can know all things on earth
With out looking out of your window
You can know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels
The less one knows
The less one really knows

Arrive without traveling
See all without looking
Do all without doing

(YOU ARE TRULY AWESOME, GEORGIE, REALLY!!!!!!)

thanks so much for all the other songs! I had fun, going one at a time, and saying how i really felt about each one, when i was done!
glad i got the right "Lewis Taylor", and "Andy Pratt" was a bit confusing, because it wasn't just him singing, at least on the songs i listened to, it was a group of people (in his band?).
New Pornagrapher, besides having an interesting name, were really good, and i enjoyed them a lot! Dave, what can I say? He is simply awesome! (so is Ray, obviously! must be something in the genes, RIGHT, MITCH??)
thanks again, Eddie, and have A GREAT DAY and splendid evening! hopefully, i will catch you later!
love,
joyce

re: "this depicts america all too well"

If that was a slam I don't get it. Didn't we save Europe's butt "before" Hitler owned all the desks? Of course I haven't been in school for quite some time now and our history could have changed. ;~)

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 27, 2012 11:21:14 AM PDT
the "slam" was in reference to how we (meaning america) only get involved when we are personally affected (WW2 and pearl harbor for ex.)

Joyce says:
Dear James and ALL, especially Lawrence, as I KNOW you will appreciate it!:
thank you so much...that is so sweet of you! this is an old song, by Neil Sedaka, and you might not like it, but I LOVE this song so much, and wanted to share it with you, and all of you! (same theme!)
http://youtu.be/p_L6jXY5COI
and one more, from the same artist!!! Really LOVE this one!
a little dated, but an awesome song!!!!
http://youtu.be/_f7SWR_ux_g
hope you all enjoyed these!!!!
(please excuse me and forgive me, Ronct and Hinch, for once again going way "OFF TOPIC"!!!!!!!!!)
love,
joyce
p.s., o.k., one more...the last one! the same artist, and a "slow version"!!!!
(Ronct knows....one of my fav slow versions, that i sing all the time....just beautiful, imo!)
http://youtu.be/33NNuwqDDTI
ENJOY THIS BLAST FROM THE PAST, ALL!!!!!!

Dear James:
I do agree, for the most part, but I will tell you a secret....what ALWAYS lies behind the veil is always the same: greed and money! (unfortunately....I truly wish this wasn't so)
love,
joyce

We learned a long time ago that Totalitarianism almost always effects us in one way or another, unfortunately some don't get it and think we should practice Isolationism. Uh oh, I think we're talkin' politics. My bad.

p.s. i know it was not really intentional, but a definite "no no"!!!!!!! after all, what we are striving for his is "peace and harmony".....right, Hinch! (smile!)
