Two Tub reminds me of Mr. Mould-
who I'll be seeing on February 27th
with his 2 co-horts.

Making it another 5-
Buzzcocks' Steve Diggle
Alarm's Mike Peters
Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell
Television's Tom Verlaine
X's John Doe-

All are VERY GOOD when they do
their own thing.

Emmit Rhodes - Two very solid albums of Beatle drivin heaven.
Al Green -" Call me "says it all.
Todd Rundgren - Runt, The Ballad of and Something Anything were special.
Jeff Lynne - His one solo album (of originals) is a underrated gem. How bout releasing the new one Jeff ?
Gene Pitney - Rarely mentioned or played but in the Sixties he had a ton of good songs.
Bobby Vee - same as Pitney - listen to "Someday" - Buddy Holley would of been proud.

Stephen , Marshall Crenshaw has some songs I really like." Little wild one",' Blues is King', and "She hates to go home", are my favorites. Not crazy about all his stuff, but he deserves mention.

Interesting you put Bruno Mars on your list.

I started a Bruno Mars thread a couple months ago and I think it got a half dozen posts. I asked what people thought of him. He's only had a couple songs I've liked but I haven't heard a whole album.

"The Lazy Song" was the first one I heard, and I kinda liked it but I *really* like his latest, "Locked Out Of Heaven". It reminds me a lot of Sting, who I'm a big fan of.

>"I've never heard that Pink Floyd song."<

Lol! That's funny!

She's been around for quite a while. She released her first single in 2000.

>Is she still current?<

This is her latest radio song. I haven't got the cd yet.

Hinch, you are going to think I'm nuts, but I'll plead that I'm just old. I was at my local pub not long ago and the group said they were going to play a song by Pink. I didn't recognize the song and said to my drinking buddies, "I've never heard that Pink Floyd song." They laughed and told me it was Pink, whose music must have passed by my radar. O.K., Topper, I know you are laughing, too. Now everybody off my lawn!

P.S. I have just discovered Rumer, however, so do have faith in current music. Is she still current?

Two tub man, nice going with the Marshall Crenshaw pick. While he would not be in my top 5 I always liked him a lot and he never receives enough praise. He has made some wonderful music. Glad to see him on someone's list!
