Good one, Stephen. I've downloaded it. On the surface it's a soul Christmas song but it's subversive.

Yep! Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney - shear aural torture!

My personal suspicion? Linda actually wrote this one, and Paul threw it together as a "gift" or favor for her. I had heard once, though I can't find anything to back it up, that it was actually Linda playing "that" keyboard riff throughout the song. Anyone else ever hear that?

As far Wondeful Christmastime by Paul McCartney (and The Beatles are my favorite band) this is one of the worst Christmas songs or one of the worst ANY songs I have heard by an artist who I love. I have NEVER felt the warmth of Christmas in this song. Just the opposite, the song leaves me colder than December snow. Plus it's just plain annoying!

Peace-Rotary Connection. The most unique Christmas album I have ever heard. It's psychedelic and it's fantastic! Santa gets psychedelisized! Literally. LOL. Some powerful singing by Mini Ripperton whose vocals go somewhere into the stratosphere. There is stunning electric guitar work. You will never hear Silent Night like this!

Stratocaster says:
The only true "Anti-Christmas Song" I can recall is the one that Michael Topper alreay mentioned - "I Believe In Father Christmas"

Here's the lyrics in case you've never been able to clearly make them out:

They said there'll be snow at christmas
They said there'll be peace on earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the virgin's birth
I remember one christmas morning
A winters light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that christmas tree smell
And their eyes full of tinsel and fire

They sold me a dream of christmas
They sold me a silent night
And they told me a fairy story
'till I believed in the israelite
And I believed in father christmas
And I looked at the sky with excited eyes
'till I woke with a yawn, in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

I wish you a hopeful christmas
I wish you a brave new year
All anguish, pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there'll be snow at christmas
They said there'll be peace on earth
Hallelujah noel be it heaven or hell
The christmas you get - you deserve

Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" was an incentive to blow my brains out on the sales floor of Macy's some years ago. Endless repeat on the work overhead about every 20 minutes or so.

Greg Lake's "I Believe In Father Christmas" is definitely an anti-Christmas song.
