They're a cartoon band so technically they are colored.

E. Dill - on the surface of things, I fully understand where you're coming from, and agree. Whatever term is being used probably would have been considered acceptable depending on the TIME PERIOD in which it was used. But - and this is a BIG BUT - you have to consider who this OP is coming from. He knows full well what he's saying and has every intention of using the term "colored" in the worst possible sense. I'm actually surprised he didn't just name the thread "Favorite N**** Musicians?"

Just when you start lamenting the decline of your own intellectual faculties, this guys posts and you don't feel so stupid any more.

The world had the real deal in Hasil Adkins. What does it need with a phony like Meade?

Peter Gabriel & David Bowie both used to use some very vivid colors with their makeup. They would be my favorite 2.
Alice Cooper would be a close second.

So...let me get this straight. Two years ago, he used the phrase "jungle music" quite liberally, and then he creates a thread called "favorite colored musicians". Anyone else see a pattern here?

Meade is a desperate loser, if he were to sell one cd, he wouldn't know how to act. The only attention he gets is what he seeks.....negative attention.

What a loser!

Anthony Fernandez,

Well the Smurfs are colored ( blue ) and they may have made music, .. but when the hell have they ever "rocked" ?!! I mean "Cha la la la la la sing a happy song" , .. THAT's rock ?

Stratocaster,

If you aren't already aware, people of african extraction call THEMSELVES "people of color" quite often.

I seem to remember an earlier thread here from a while back by someone who's name escapes me now titled "Whitest recording by a black artist". And, inexplicably, THAT didn't get the kind of lip THIS one is getting from the likes of M.C. Williams, E.Dill, Rizzo, Stratcoaster, and Geezerguy ?
