I have just stumbled across this wonderful lady - wow, what a gorgeous voice and one of the best cover versions I have ever heard.

Lisa Ono.

Too many bumps in this road.
I'm not a big fan of Main Course" but the "Bee Gees 1st" was a great record and I'll stay with their early music anyday.

I love Jack Savoretti.

I am treating myself to his three albums. He is touring various festivals in England over the summer, the nearest to where I live is Battersea Park in London. I would love to go.

Here is a cool video.

I'd give to the Red Cross or Shelter or other good secular charity. Here the Salvation Army is homophobic and proselytizes. Too right wing for my tastes.

Hi Franklin,

Nadolig Llawen

I agree, I used to feel guilty. I would rather give a donation, ie the Salvation Army, the British Red Cross or Shelter.

Good for you. They have to earn it. They wouldn't get anywhere where the tradition of Wassail continues.

Lol :)

Luckily we didn't have any carollers at the door this year. A few years ago we would get lots of little tiny tots at the door. They ring the doorbell, stare at you and warble out four words, Silent Night, Holy Night and then stop.
I wait, thinking there are at least four more words that they will "sing" or even maybe a whole verse??? Nothng. They are waiting for the coins. Knowing full well that they are not singing carols for any enjoyment except to gain money for sweets or comics etc, I don't give them any money, I just smile and wish them a Merry Christmas and shut the door.
