Some names and songs come easily to mind of course:

THE BYRDS: (e.g.) 'My Back Pages'
CROSBY STILLS & NASH: 'Guinnevere' or DAVID CROSBY'S 'Orleans' (does singing all the vocals by yourself count?)
LOVE: Alone Again Or
THE BEATLES: Because
THE BEACH BOYS: 'Til I Die

sooooo...just a few that are maybe just a little less obvious:

TEENAGE FANCLUB: (just about ANYTHING from 'Grand Prix')
COSMIC ROUGH RIDERS: (just about ANYTHING from 'Enjoy the Melodic Sunshine')
RARE BIRD: Epic Forest
KINGS OF CONVENIENCE: Failure
TURIN BRAKES: Emergency 72

Huey Lewis and the News could put together some good harmonies when they stuck to the "doo-wop" sound on some of their album tracks.

The Turtles
Crosby Stills and Nash
Renaissance. Dunford and Camp's voices very nicely complemented Annie's.

ILHJ there is a great video on youtube where they go over how 'I'm Not In Love' was recorded. What you end up hearing is 256 voices on the song tracks!

This isn't the "best" by any means, but I like how Morrissey's voice was sped up and added as a counterpoint harmony on the single word "bigmouth" in "Bigmouth Strikes Again". (Smiths - Queen is Dead)

Turtles
Stones
Grateful Dead
Everly Brothers
Indigo Girls

Nobody's mentioned the EAGLES? How 'bout "Seven Bridges Road" off the Live album.

Early Ambrosia, like "Holding on to Yesterday"

The Little River Band had some nice vocal harmonies - "It's a Long Way There"

and of course I agree with C,S, & N. and the Mamas and the Papas.

Forget the Eagles, Poco could out-harmonize them any day of the week.

(sorry, I'm just pissed that the Eagles stole Poco's members...more than once!)
