Sing The Delta - Iris DeMent.

Quite lovely (despite the foreboding cover).

Hi Working Man,
For Ladies Only is Steppenwolf's best album. No big hits but their most solid offering. I love "Sparkle Eyes"
This album was produced by Richard Podolor, who also produced Iron Butterfly's Metamorphosis which has a similar mix and feel to it.

"For Ladies Only" would be my favorite Steppenwolf album but: "Monster" "At Your Birthday Party" and "Steppenwolf 7" are almost as great. This band was never given their due as the high-quality music they produced didn't let up in the late 1960's early 70's. "Steppenwolf Live" is a one great live record as well.

Having just finished Bruce, which I would recommend, I'm revisiting Lucky Town and Human Touch as I didn't bother with them at the time.

Grandpa Tom says:

I have always liked them lots. Human Touch (the song) & Man's Job are sadly overlooked, as are several other strong tracks from both releases.

I own only 1 Bruce CD released after these two, but every one prior.
