Dear Stevign:
i am not saying this as a criticism, and know you meant it as a joke, but don't know if this clip will be appreciated by all, as the "subject" (himself) is too much of an open wound.....just suggesting....your decision, of course.
love,
joyce

Dearest Cody:
thanks for the links! i am, right at this moment, watching them all!
the capris: this is like do-wop rock! It kinda reminds me of Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons!
are they a new group??? old group??? don't know???? haven't heard them before...excuse my ignorance please!
the bell notes: this is nice... a bit simple, sort of "buddy holly" style!
the swinging' medallions: this one, i recognize!!! I love this song! thanks!(a double shot of my baby's love, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!)
linda scott: omg, cody! I LOVE this song, and sing it all the time! (thought i was the only one! glad i'm not!
the pixies: i love this, but i haven't heard it, or them, before! when was this recorded?

thanks again, Cody! It was fun to hear old friends, and a couple of new ones as well!

LOVE, :)

Great tune -- indeed, the whole 'Doolittle' album is fantastic. :)

Really liking this song at the moment:
Pavement, "Unseen Power of the Picket Fence" -- http://youtu.be/0DvVYwXqFEE

(I don't necessarily share the singer's attitude toward the song "Time After Time," but the way he screams that line just cracks me up...)

Gena:

Good to see you. I've "seen" you around here before. Yes, that Pixies album is awesome start to finish. I love Kim Deal

My Dearest Joyce:

The Capris have been around since the sixties. That link I sent was made in the eighties. Back in the day, they had a hit, "There's a Moon Out Tonight".

That Linda Scott song is indeed awesome, I enjoy it alot.

Gena mentioned that Pixies song and album. HCYM was on the album titled Doolittle. I want to say it came out in the late eighties, early nineties. Kim Deal(bass/guitar) went on to form the Breeders. She had a big hit with "Cannonball". She also does a killer cover of "Happiness is a Warm Gun".

A true story..........

In a small Jazz café as customers talked, drank and waitresses took orders, a man of 5 feet high walked on stage. As the band began to play, the diminutive gentleman approached the microphone, lowered it to his height and began to sing. Suddenly the café grew deathly silent; no one spoke, the bartender and waitresses stopped what they were doing and you could hear a pin drop. This is what they heard...........

She's cool. A couple of my favorite Pixies tracks outside of 'Doolittle' are "Gigantic" (from 'Surfer Rosa') and the rarity "Into the White":

My Dearest Cody (and all other interested parties!):
hi! thanks for the return post with more links! re: the capris "there's a moon out tonight"...I have heard this, and love it! it kinda reminds me of Richie Valen's "Donna", which is the most awesome song.....didn't care too much for the imagine "cover"....after John's original, it would be VERY hard to beat, but thanks for sending it anyway, so i could listen!
re: breeders version of "Happiness is a Warm Gun" (Kim Deal)....better than imagine to me; much better; however, John's simply CANNOT be topped, imo!!! this is good though!
thanks for sending all the links! always interesting to listen to new things!
re: "Donna", Richie Valens:
here it is! enjoy! my fav RV song!
