When I was a little kid I really enjoyed Bluegrass music and through that genre I discovered the comedy team of Homer & Jethro that were cool musicians that slaughtered other people's music. Homer was Henry Haymes and Jethro was Kenneth Burns and if you can find the record where they take on rock music of the 1960's I would say give it a try. This was fun stuff!

Miriam says:
He tried to get his career launched under a number of names (e.g. Gerry Dorsey), but face it - he wasn't much of a singer. Then his manager said, "Your name's Engelbert Humperdinck!" - after the German composer who wrote the opera "Hansel and Gretel". It finally got him noticed.
