vivazappa-The Wall is party music? I love the album but, what a downer album for a party. LOL

Agreed on "The Wall"... Kinda a bummer album for parties! I was gonna list Radiohead's album The Bends, but stopped because it really has a depressing vibe. We played it a bunch, but rarely on a Friday night. My buddies used to called it "whiny"... And I couldn't disagree!

I don't remember any albums we partied to during college, so whatever they were, I guess they worked.

I just graduated. Here are some that my friends and I would always party to throughout the last few years...

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Everclear - Sparkle and Fade
Washed Out - Within and Without
any David Bowie
any Beach Boys
any Beastie Boys
The Clash - London Calling
Yeasayer - Odd Blood
any Smiths
Miles Davis - Miles Ahead

plus lots more, but thats a few off the top of my head.

The infamous Wall party...
Day of release Pete picks up the record...
Tom Steve Pete and myself go to classes...
Pete's last class ends at six...
At six thirty we fire up a purple bud doobie provided by Steve's brother...
Play sides one and two...all of us laying on a king sized water bed trying to read the lyrics...
Smoke a second bone for good measure...
Play sides three and four...forget reading the lyrics at this point...we can figure them out for ourselves...

Best first listen PARTY ever!
