Na, give the fries to those fat lards who are addicted to junk food and cola. Tax payers need to keep them welfare recipients fat and dependent on the system. Stop the welfare and there will be riots in the streets and property damage as a bonus. Pretty ingenious of the Democratics over the last 50 years having created so many disfuntional generation after generation depentent liberal Democratic voters for generations to come. Its way past time for white libs to get over their gilty feelings about the past and seek political options that do not feed the worst values to aimless souls. We need a strong Tea Party turnout in November to maintain Washington gridlock. Any other outcome will sink America faster.

LOL that's a old one.

But then it is evil that at their age they can still pack them in while wearing spandex.

If I put on spandex people would run away.

That isnt true. Country music is more about lost and unrequited love, family, community, the nature of things, life's struggles, etc Only fake Pop Country has started the new trend of immoral themes- but thats only because it isnt really Country, its trying to Copy Pop/Rock.

E.P. Haufe,

You are wrong. The themes of drinking, infidelity, and violence - immoral themes - have been in country music from the beginning. If anything, "fake country pop" has given the world too many nicey-nice songs (sickening drivel you'd find on a Hallmark greeting card). I'll take the immoral themes over that junk anyday.

"Don't Go Near the Indians" by Rex Allen, Sr. is about his adopted Indian son falling in love with his sister.

Father-Daughter duo, the Kendalls, sing "Heaven's Just a Sin Away" about cheating together?

The Louvin Bros. "Knoxville Girl" about murdering the girl you love by a river (beating her to death with a tree branch used as a club), going home to your mother covered in gore and telling mom you had a nose bleed?

Moe Bandy sings "...I just threw my last bottle at the jukebox..." on "I Just Started Hatin' Cheatin' Songs Today"?

Wanda Jackson, "This Gun Don't Care"?

Hank Thompson, "Cocaine Blues" from 1959? "...I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down..." Johnny Cash softened it to "Transfusion Blues" on NOW, THERE WAS A SONG 1961 Columbia Lp.

Regarding hard themes and lyrics in country music, I came across this article yesterday (and found the last 'graph especially interesting):

E.P. Haufe,
Check out a music group called Melt-Banana. It will change the way you listen to music and do you some good overall.
