Lou Reed--Side 3 of "Metal Machine Music" would wake you up!

And if you wanted to motivate your @$$ to get out of the house and go do something...Yoko's primal scream theropy records whould do the trick.

White Stripes "De Stijl" and "White Blood Cells" when nothing else will do. Jack White is a raw performer with no b.s. or pretensions.

Miles Davis "Black Beauty" is possibly the most aggressive non-guitar album ever recorded.

ELP "Brain Salad Surgery" pumps me up when I still have the patience to stop doing anything else and focus all my attention on the music.

The Stooges "Fun House" has a gritty nasty sort of energy.

The Beatles "Rubber Soul" always gets my feet tapping and head bobbing.

Two Tub Man says:
I just started back to work a few weeks the f*** do people do this s*** every day???

The album that really gets me motivated whilst driving that 54 mile round trip each day has been:
Silver Age by Bob Mould. This thing ROARS from start to finish! Loud, angry ruminations on being in
your 50's in a young person's world. Silver Age = Silver Rage.

I clock in to work with my ears ringing!

I affirm your vote for Silver Age. I've loved Mould since I saw Husker Du in 86. Silver Age is probably my favorite.

Depends on what I'm doing...Metallica, or Kid Rock for work. Gotta have the anger and it is so out of my soccer mom look. Hard rock is the best for motivation, but lately I've been listening to old blues like B.B. King or little Willie John, to learn a little about them.
