Equipment: Samsung UN46ES6500, Roku 2 XS, Verizon FIOS wireless N router.
Picture/Sound glitches using Samsung Amazon Prime App but no problems using Roku. Does Roku use a buffering system of some kind?
Have even tried cat5 cable from router to TV - same issues.

I don't have a Samsung nor Amazon Prime, I do have a Roku....

Does TV use a "dongle" device for WiFi? These are known to be rather glitchy.
Did you verify TV was actually using ethernet/wired connection? Many devices require the connection type (WiFi or wired) be selected via menus, they don't always just default to wired when ethernet is used.

Can you stream other services fine using both WiFi and wired?

Dunno. That's what comes to mind off the top of my head. :)

TV doesn't have dongle - it was one of the 1st Samsung's to have built in Wi-Fi. If a wire is attached, I'll see a dialog box saying that a wired connection is now available and go thru the motions of installing it. When removed, it reverts back to old wireless configuration.

Can steam other Samsung apps/services fine using Wi-Fi: Hulu Plus, Crackle, TED, Frequency, etc. - all work fine except Amazon Prime. ALL Roku streaming services work fine. My next step will be to uninstall and reinstall Amazon Prime and see what happens.

Thanks for your input
