After viewing everyone's posts about favorite lists and what everyone is reading I wanted to start a thread about new and independent authors. I have read some really good ones and their books are usually significantly cheaper on the Kindle. Here is what I have so far, please add. =)

Amanda Hocking - Trylle Trilogy and My Blood Approves series
Molly Harper - How to Flirt with a Naked werewolf
Kristie Cook - Soul Savers
Heather Killough-Walden - Big Bad Wolf Series
HP Mallory - Dulcie O'Neil and Jolie Wilkins Series
Jill Myles - Succubus Series
Kimberly Frost - Would be Witch

Is anyone reading the Changeling series by Dani Harper? I haven't heard of this author before. There are two books that just came out in June & July. They look interesting.
Changeling Moon
Changeling Dream

I recently discovered Maddy Barone's series, After the Crash. The 1st book is Sleeping With The Wolf and the 2nd is Wolf's Glory. Sleeping With The Wolf is a bit short, more of a novella, but Wolf's Glory is longer. Both are pretty good, 4 stars. I don't think the next book comes out until the end of this year though.

I'll second the Thea Harrison rec. I loved Dragon Bound!

I have read the changeling series by dani harper. Actually, the second Changeling Dream was Heart of the Winter Wolf that has been modified and/or updated.

But great series, I believe you will enjoy it.

Not sure if she's on Amazon yet, but you can find her on B&N (for the nookers) or on Smashwords. you can buy the kindle format on that website--not sure of how to port it in, sorry I use the kindle app. When you look for her here, you get a different author, it's definitely not the same book. Her books are free and highly rated.

Molly Harper isn't really new, she also isn't independent. She is very good though. I've read her three vampire books and her two warewolves. I haven't read her one contemporary, can't remember what it's called.

One new author I really enjoyed was D. B. Reynolds. Not sure if she is an Indie author but her Vampires in America series was really good. The first one is Raphael.

I really liked Caroline Hanson. She has 2 books in her series Love is Fear (A Valerie Dearborn Novel) and Love is Darkness: A Valerie Dearborn Novel with a third coming our sometime this year. She also has a freebie that I wish was longer about a witch and a werewolf called Bewitching the Werewolf
