Does anyone have any recs for books where the hero is a werewolf/Lycan/Shifter and the heroine is a human? She can turn into one of those creatures in the book, but not already be one. For example she gets bitten and turned as part of the plot.

Psy-Changelings series by Nalini Singh - One of my favorites--this series gets better as it goes on. Most of the heroes are shifters, while the heroines are a mix of human, Psy (human with psychic abilities) and shifters. Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1)

World of Lupi series by Eileen Wilks - Another favorite, which I think gets even better in the later books. Heroes are shifters and heroines human. Tempting Danger (The World of the Lupi, Book 1)

Dragon Kin series by G.A. Aiken - Heroes are dragon shifters and the heroines are human in the first several books and dragon shifter in some of the later ones. Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, Book 1)

The gold standard werewolf series for me is Mercy Thompson series and spin off Alpha & Omega books by Patricia Briggs. They are top favs, if you are willing to give urban fantasy a try. These are a mix of mystery, suspense, action and a slow building romance. A&O has a bit more focus on the relationship stuff, if romance is more to your taste. Ilona Andrews is another great urban fantasy author who features shapeshifters in lead roles. Her books also have a little romance mixed into the high action/mystery/suspense storylines.

Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, Book 1) is the beginning of a series by Kelley Armstrong. Not all of the stories are about the main characters of the first two books, but most are really good. This is an Urban Fantasy type series. The last book Thirteen has just been released, so this is a complete series.

Also in the Under Her Skin anthology, there is a short story by Jeaniene Frost about a woman who is bitten by a werewolf and must stay in their community to see if she becomes a werewolf at the next full moon. I really liked this story but as of yet, there is no intention to make this a series.

Hunter's Moon (Tales of the Sazi, Book 1) -- first book features a mafia assassin H who was recently turned. Because of his past, plus the new complications of being a shifter, he has to (mostly) sever ties and relocate to the shifter neighborhood under new identities for him and the h. This is a challenge for his human h, because most of the shifters are not used to being around someone entirely human with no shifter blood. H appears throughout the series.
