I'm interested in knowing what your PC has under the hood. I find that when I play games on PC, it can get a little choppy at times and there is some tearing. I primarily only see this in FPS games.
On the contrary, whenever I play a console game on either Xbox360 or PS3, I usually don't see much of either problem. It's just an observation that had me playing consoles games for quite some time. Recently I've come back to playing some PC games again like Serious Sam 3 BFE, Duke Nukem Forever, Skyrim, and Rage. (I know, Skyrim really isn't FPS)
What components are you guys using in your PCs and how well do they seem to run FPS games?
Also, I'm trying to run my PC on my Samsung 40" LCD TV (1080p) and it just seems like the brightness goes WAY down when I switch to the HDMI input that the PC is using. My 27" LCD monitor is much brighter and you can see a lot more detail on it. I already tried turning the brightness up to 100 and it looks horrible then. Any suggestions for this?
