I built my computer for the first time and sat down to play Crysis on a mouse and keyboard. Needless to say, I need practice. It is not as simple as 'point and click'.
While playing, I am struggling to move and switch weapons quickly. I constantly have to look down at my keboard- 'right, I have to press 2 to switch from a SMG to a shotgun'. It is not a pretty sight when you have a platoon shooting at you.
I've given up with the melee attack. I forget if it is defaulted on the key 'T' or 'Y', but I can never find it in time. The movement is not as fluid as a controller. I have to leave the WASD keys to reach for the melee which leaves me immobile for a brief time.
I'm just venting. I have the game set on easy and I'm still being slapped around. I'm not planning on quitting any time soon. Anyone have any pointers on how a newb in computer gaming can play games like these better. Is there a better configuration of the keys?
