All of my components for my new build are ready, with the exception of a GPU. I've been debating between a 650ti and a 660. Unfortunately I'm not very well versed in GPU technicals (cuda cores, pipelines, and such mean nothing to me). I'm hoping someone here can advise me based on my needs:
Overocking, SLI, multi-monitor support are unimportant to me. I'm way too lazy to do any of that stuff. I'm looking for a good GPU which will let me play games at reasonably high settings, and that won't need replacement for at least a year, longer if possible. Being able to max out super-intensive games isn't a big deal. Reliability, quality and reasonably cool running are important.
I've seen an EVGA 650ti 2GB on newegg for around 160. The gtx 660 cards seems to run about $75 more. Is it worth the extra cost? Will I notice much difference, given my needs?
In case its important in the decision making process, I have:
Intel core i5 3570k
Msi Z77 Mpower motherboard
16 GB RAM
Thanks for any feedback.
