Thanks nate, its just I care about everyone and I don't like arguments nor fighting. I prefer equality overall. We are all gamers here so why is it so hard to get along, to enjoy the things we love the most. I don't like others being bashed for what they like. I consider the vgf a home, a place where we have fun and hang out. No one should be above the other. We are different, yet equal. Strangers, yet friends. I want gaming to thrive, to be strong by us, by the community that cares. We helped stop SOPA and PIPA, we inform each other of news and whats going on. We have fun and we laugh, but we care about todays society.

We care for each other and at the end of the day, we all help each other out when we need help. I like being here on amazon forums talking to you guys, because I like reading what you all think and have to say. Most of you have given me something to like about each console, something to look for at the end of the day, and I appreciate that a lot.

I learned about Video Games on a so called "Console" when the best thing around was Nintendo,Matelavision, and Atari 2600/5200,which none of them lasted long in my young years...Then I got introduced to the PC(Beginning with Windows 98(S.E.),then XP..Iwas very impressed when an I.T. friend of mine put an extra hard drive(Called Bigfoot). When I would boot my HP Pavillion up and heard Both drives winding up;and you could hear em winding up..I was freaking Amazed.I began building mainly desktop comps ever since and i love it.But the thing to me that is so satisfying is To build my own personal Computer from scratch, and get the RIGHT Combination(CPU,RAM,Video Card w/Crossfire or Sli,And so on & on,and then Run a High End Game(DX11,Visual C++,etc.) and experience the what I call the"Magic".When i went to school there wasnt such a thing as a PC..I am reliving my young years again, and am loving it.My name is keith3982,a medically retired Aircraft Inspector. My Computer Hobby helps me hang on to whats left of my sanity. Thanks, sammykspeed

I didn't see the point of console gaming until I played Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on my Vita. Japanese developers, why do you forsake us PC gaming superiors? ;n;

How is NGS+? Still holding up?

I've got my eye on it. Still worth it if I played through NG, NG:B, and NGS?

Just purchase a console; all games will work flawlessly.

Absolutely flawlessly... Just like my constantly crashing copies of ME2 and ME3, or the severely bugged out Fallout series.

I'll take it on the chin that I'm not a "real gamer". The purpose of my PC is for games, finances, research and so much more. Although I play games on it much more than the other things it does. I'm an adult, I have a job, I have a child, I have a life. I've been playing games since I was 10, on an Atari. I don't enjoy first person shooters, I'm more strategy and RP games. I've tried some of the RP games on 360 (got one for my kiddo) I don't enjoy the play style. BUT, that is personal preference. SO...if you think that "mommy and daddy" buying you a console and a bunch of $60 games so you can sit on the couch, eat doritos and listen to your arteries harden while you contemplate what you might or might not do with your life from the age of 18, is what makes you a "real gamer" then I graciously bow to your ability to troll the internet.

I refer anyone who thinks PC gamers aren't "real" gamers to the experiment Microsoft did a few years ago pitting PC and console players against each other online. Even the most mediocre PC players wiped the floor with the console crowd. It wasn't even close. Microsoft canceled the project to avoid angering their XboX players.

If getting savagely annihilated by so-so PC players makes you a "real gamer" then have at it! The title's all yours!

I'd just gotten rid of my PC rig at that point, and was excited for the chance to play against PC gamers again in Shadowrun. I actually really held my own against PC gamers.

For the same reason I'm really super excited about the new Counter Strike - except this time I'll probably be on the PC side. Oh, God, I'm hoping Valve does with CS:GO what it did with Portal 2 and gives away free PC codes with PS3 versions of the game.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 30, 2012 8:33:44 AM PDT
It isn't cross platform anymore and Source is better than CS:GO from every angle....

I'm a huge fan of Counterstrike, and CS:GO blows goats.

_________

A lot can change in six months. As of last summer, Valve had planned to offer cross-play for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the PC, Mac, and PS3. But based on what it's learned from the beta, Valve has decided to strip the functionality in favor of offering constant updates for players on the PC and Mac.

"The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC," Valve's Chet Faliszek revealed to Joystiq. "To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn't hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play -- essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them."

If you would like to get into the ongoing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta, fill out Valve's survey. If you want cross-play back in the game, wait to sign one of the dozens of online petitions currently being created.

I tried playing the beta, I really did, but its just.... It's not CS:S. Far from CS:S....

I don't think valve are the devs either. I'm pretty sure its a third party. Everything just feels "off".

Well that's a world of disappointment. I was kind of looking forward to that crossplay. Still, I'll end up giving it a shot just the same. I liked CS:S but I came in so late that I was hopelessly behind everyone else and just getting slaughtered.

It is truly a sorry state of things in the world when "adults" think that a game system, or the types of games played, is a way of life. Hey guys look up the word game in the dictionary....................

Sentiments I echo F Jorgenson. My ex is all about PC, especially for CS:GO because of things like: http://www.iwantcheats.com/counter-strike-global-offensive-hack/. He literally chooses his gaming system based on his way of life: cheating. PHlllltphhptt.

Exactly, I completely agree with you, why should anyone care what console or pc you play on. The point is that we're all gamers alike.

well not matter which console you buy, PC will always have more games and more content than consoles. PC also has much better preformance
