People,

I can't find a place that summarises the video capabilities of the E-M5 - eg is it possible to record:

- in lower resolutions eg 640x480 ?

- at 25 fps? (I am in Australia) ?

Thanks,

Phil.

Normally I'd recommend trying the manufacturer web-site for your region -- but the Olympus Australia site seems to be focused on hype (11 "art filters" -- which to me implies "the regular images aren't that amazing, we give you these special effects to hide the flaws"; MINIMUM ISO is 200!) http://www.olympus.com.au/Products/PEN-Cameras/OMD-cameras/E-M5-Camera.aspx

After all, a review of a North Am version probably has firmware for common systems in that region...

Dpreview just posted a review of the OM-D. They usually cover the basics pretty well with a lot of specs available.

Specs from dpreview.com:

"Resolutions 1920 x 1080 (60i from 30p output), 1280 x 720 (60, 30 fps), 640 x 480 (30 fps)"

YES 640x480.
NO 25 fps.
