Can you put a fz150 sensor into a fz100?

I doubt that anyone but Panasonic engineers have a definitive answer to that. In practical terms, sensors are definitely not designed to be easily replaced let alone to be swappable between models. I doubt that Panasonic itself would even bother to repair a camera by replacing a bad sensor rather than just sending back a brand new camera.

Les Schmader says:
If you did put the sensor from an FZ150 into an FZ100, it would "be" an FZ150 without the enhancements and features to take advantage of the newer sensor.

Swapping engines from a new to old truck won't necessarily be an improvement if the rest of the driveline isn't perfectly matched.

If yiou want to improve on the FZ100 I would be thinking of the G3 M4/3 with the 14-140 lens. Not the reach of the FZ100 for sure but 280 reach is not really that different from 600. Particularly when you take the bigger sensor and more Mp into account to compensate.
The figures suggest otherwise of course but that is my opinion and with a Oly TCON x1.7 added you have about 500 reach though not really a successful adaption.
I went from the FZ50 to the G3 myself though I keep the FZ50 and my Raynox 2020 for sunny days 950mm reach :-) Both the G3 and FZ50 work the OIS happilly with adaptors.
