Yeah, the gun industry spreads the rumor that Obama is "gonna take our guns, herp derp" and the mouth-breathers run to stock up.

Cha-ching!

Rinse and repeat.

You know those gun industry execs laugh their butts off while counting their money. They can always count on the idiots to fall for it EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Precisely why they spread their nasty propaganda...so they can cash in on all the paranoia.

Just like the last time Obama won. It's amazing what these fools will believe.
But good for the gun and ammo sellers. They've found a gimmick that works every time. Keep the dumb people scared and they'll keep coming back.

Goose season opens up this week for me. Should I not buy ammo for fear of being linked to stocking up?

OBAMA stated that he intended to reinstate the so-called "assault weapons" ban. If people buy items on the ban list, how is that, "paranoid?" Are we supposed to assume that Obama is a liar? An ineffectual leader? It appears that those whom you call, "paranoid" have more faith in Obama than you Democrats do.

And, I haven't seen a word of propaganda from anyone. I'm going strictly from what I saw Obama say during the debate.

Wait I thought Obama was to of taken your guns away in his first term.
The ski is falling the skie is falling. Same BS as his first term he is your president get over it.
4 years from now when you still have you guns I will say just like his his first term I tols you so Obama will not take your guns away.

People are not expecting that Obama is going to go door-to-door taking guns away. If that is your thesis, prove it. If that were the case, there would be a militia movement, not a mere run on guns. People are just anticipating a reinstatement of the so-called "assault weapons" ban, per Obama's campaign pledge, and first term promise to Sarah Brady (which Democrats in this forum denied he made).

Fall for what? The price of pre-ban magazines and guns went up like crazy after the ban. "Fall for" buying before the price goes up? You people sound crazy.

"forcing" reality to conform to one's perspective can sound like insanity - it can even in fact be insanity. Sometimes it's just ignorance; people not involved with such purchases won't know what you know.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that the execs at the gun companies and their US subs are big contributors to Obama. His election is good for their bottom line.

It WOULD surprise me-- Sarah Brady wouldn't stand for it.

Ouch Robbie Cooper? Dale your bigotry is showing.

Another Robbie Cooper Quote: "...who's to blame for the piss-poor manners and near-riotous behavior to these blacks acting...well...black?"

How can you read this guy's tripe it's just embarrassing.

It's so strange to live in a country where people honestly believe in warped realities such as these.

Ataraxia says:
The NRA knows the primitive fears, paranoia, ignorance, and prejudices of the uneducated backwoods hicks in this country, and they know how to play it like a fiddle- to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. It is of course unethical to abuse stupid people so much- but whatcha gonna do? It's not illegal. It's like RJ Reynolds selling their death smoke to them. And all these guys laugh all the way to the bank at your expense.

But you know what they say: a fool and his money must part. I think of it as stimulus money for the economy.

I doubt Sarah Brady has veto power over who is able to contribute to anyone's political campaign.

WTF do you need assault weapons for anyway? Is that how you hunt turkeys? Do you like to riddle deer with dozens of rounds?

If you feel that you need to own an assault weapon, you should consider seeing a therapist.

that's because hurricanes exist in reality. :)

Of course, you can also use your assault rifles to rob your neighbors of food and other stores. So an assault gun is good hurricane preparation too.

assault rifle is a general term for a cool looking weapon. they are the same as any of the other wood stock or synthetic stock rifles i have. they look cool and are fun too shoot. you can use a sagia assault shotgun to hunt turkeys by the way, but not ducks because the mag does not have a filler i am aware of that limits 3 shells.

the need to have is not listed anywhere it is made up by those who have a unsupported fear.

http://www.mossberg.com/rifle-calibers/22-lr

the first one and the international verison about halfway down are the same gun just setup diferent. one is old school and the internaitonal is cool looking. they have roughly the same capcity. that is why this is such a funny thing to have to explain over and over and over.

the assualt rifle ban stopped legal citizens with limited funding for toys to be able to purchase and enjoy shooting. i use them when ak was 80 dollars and ammuntion was 70 dollars. it allowed me to shoot at range and have fun. now it takes a sizeable bank account to do the same.
