Obama's SAT scores were lower than George W. Bush's. Much lower.

Congratulations. But this doesn't necessarily mean that you're smarter than Obama.

Isn't that the truth....
A re-election will only be the result of those who are haven't the foggiest clue what's actually happening to this country....
The reason Obama was elected in the first place.

Really! ;-) Just trying to see if facts and logic have any effect on a highly biased mind. I can see why politicans spread so many lies. Many voters are either lazy or not smart enough to sort out the truth.

I suppose you're a lot smarter and more successful than him.....

You're arguing with someone who's biased.

Top schools look at a lot more than scores on standardized achievement tests and G.P.A.

So you have a comprehensive knowledge of the background of all students admitted to prestigious schools in the past 36 years? You must have a fantastic memory and an incredible ability to snoop into the records of Admissions Offices.

Key words: " a school that only takes the very best students".
I'm curious to know how he qualified as one of the very best...did he talk his way into school?
We know they changed the HLR editor requirements to get him on board....

The fact that Obama graduated from Harvard magna cum laude proves he was towards the top of his class in a school that only takes the very best students. He spoke extremely well during the Democratic primary debates without a telepromter and does so every day. Citing one day where a person spoke less than well is really disingenuous, and ignores the fact of a very suscessful person who came from poor roots and worked his way up the ladder without a rich family or big donors supporting him. I think the important question is why do people hate him so much and spread so much misinformation about him? Even before he took office. If he was to show his top grades LSAts or SAT scores, I expect the far right would fault him for being a bragger or elitist.

"I don't think that quite explains it, do you?
Have you applied to a college before? Have your children?
If so, you are probably familiar with the selection process."

No, it doesn't explain it. Exactly how did he get into "college"?
We all know you have to be a near genius to qualify.
If you don't believe it just watch a few episodes of "Campus PD"

Bad Grandpa says:
What could it be then? Could he be just an ordinary biracial, fatherless child plucked from a life of mediocrity by the Liberal Left and groomed to someday be elected president? Or possibly a Kenyan, Muslim ,sleeper, gay friendly terrorist bent on the destruction of our country brought on by forcing the wealthy to pay taxes, ending needless wars, and making fat kids eat right and exercise more.

How did he?
I never said he wasn't slick, but that doesn't get you into Columbia or Harvard. In 36 years, the only time I ever saw a student, black or white or other, get into a prestigious school with anything but Stellar grades, was one student who got into Brown on a football scholarship.
I think he's about done fooling everyone, btw:)

Bad Grandpa says:
I know right, how did he? And how did he get to be so intelligent and well spoken when he had such poor grades? He is obviously faking it. How much longer can he continue to fool everyone?

We're talking about Obama here, in case you didn't notice..and he can't speak without a teleprompter. That's obvious. I can't wait for the debates...
But the original, and bigger question is: How did he get into Columbia and Harvard with poor to mediocre grades?
What do you think?

D. Stepp says:
So what does this say about Bush? That he can't even read a teleprompter? The point stands.

"The least that can be said of Obama is that he is not a half-witted embarassment like his predecessor."

Search youtube > Obama without his teleprompter > It was from the 2008 campaign trail in the primaries. Obama sounds like a buffoon answering folks questions.

Take Obama off his teleprompter speeches & he don't sound so intelligent.

D. Bennett says:
Rover: Romney's "success" is like a neighbor winning the lottery...it's wonderful, and you are happy for him, but it does nothing for you or anyone else on the block. It is all about him.

I know lots of people from big, happy families. It is great but no predictor of successs for other families and doesn't give one an edge on running a whole country, necessarily.
As for his faith, well, I cannot deny LDS their faith or successes. But again, this is good only for them. The LDS community takes care of their own, to great effect but it has not been a force of change in the rest of the world (outside those members of their faith, worldwide).

Romney's business acumen is based on proven techniques, for sure. Any time you can lay off workers or fire them or remove whole departments you will certainly save money.
And if you are a corporate executive you should be able to negotiate for the best percentages of consulting fees, raises, bonuses and the like. Given his background and education, it goes without saying that he knew where and when to invest his money to best advantage.

But all of this only means he knew how to take care of himself. Ironically, he is like pre-Presidential Obama, in that he has not effect much change in the world at large.

I am glad he takes care of his wife, kids, church, and the state of Utah. What does that mean for me? Nothing. Anyone can do this. It sort of reminds me in the Bible where Jesus says "even a sinner can love those who love him".
